About adding a custom field in KOHA

Hello all. I am trying to make GSDL fulltext integration in KOHA in a different way as it is now. I added a field in the Default MARC framework structure. I have added a field 952'x' naming it Fulltext. Here I want to store a flag "YES" or "NO" to identify whether I have a fulltext for the current item or not. I also added a field in the table "biblioitems" of type enum("YES","NO"). My problem is that, I want the "View Full Text" link only in those search results which have 952'x' = YES . How can I make this possible??? I have attached a screenshot as how is the link looking right now. Please Help. KOHA Error Redirecting Help

Hello all. I am having some problem with redirecting a standard KOHA Error to some other page. Actually I've modified a function to navigate to next and previous biblionumber within the records in KOHA. The problem is that if I supply a existing biblionumber it works fine, but when I supply a biblionumber that is not present then it gives the following error. There are no Bugzilla reports on it however. In the staff client item data are shown on the item details page generated by moredetail.pl. But Edit items (additem.pl) does not show item data at all. Patron Card Creator Alpha and Call for Testing

Hi all, The Patron Card Creator is at an alpha state and needs some testing before submitting. There are still several outstanding issue to be taken care of, but by and large it is functionally complete and testable. You can get it here: git://github.com/cnighswonger/koha-wip.git Presently it is best to do an install over a fresh database. If you opt to upgrade a database from a version more recent than the label's rewrite, you can use the patroncards_update.pl script in the installer/data/mysql subdir. Earlier db's will not update at the present, but will in the near future. There are no sample data, so you will have to work from scratch. Most of the interface is intuitive if you are familiar with the label creator. This is *not* suitable for production use... you have been warned. Bug reports, kudos, and condemnations are all appreciated. Enjoy. Kind Regards, Chris

Road Types

Hi all, We need a consensus of sorts on an issue that has a few bugs associated with it. In America addresses go 'street number' 'street name' 'street type' -- in France it goes 'street number' 'street type' 'street name' This is coming across as a display problem on the patron records. So I'm wondering if there is a way that we can set up the templates to display the address in the way that the librarian chooses. Right now there are a few bugs related to the fact that the street number and/order street type doesn't even display - when I went to fix them I realize (with Owen's help) that I might be causing some internationalization issues - so I wanted to consult with you all on what we think is the best way to tackle this. Some issues related to KOHA 3.0

Hello all. Happy New Year to all. I have used KOHA for 3 months and now almost all of my problems has been solved. Thanks to all the members of the list who always replied to other posts and helped people out in the best way they could. KOHA is such a stable package that I could modify the codes very well and get it to work as I wanted. I have added few functionalities by modifying the codes. I have added biblio search option, direct biblio edit and also fulltext integration in a newer way. I am now testing the barcode system to be used with our system. I hope it works too. I am a bit confused that what happens when I scan a barcode, what inteface should I use to scan it and what features should I enable??? The other thing I wanted to ask is that is it possible to run the rebuild_zebra.pl in my server through a button click in the web interface by the client. We have 12 libraries hosted in a single KOHA install using the multiple zebra multiple database facility. Each library's database needs to be selected first using "use library1" and then we need to export the KOHA_CONF as "export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/library1-conf.xml" and then only we can execute the rebuild script. I was thinking to make another sh script to store all the commands that needs to be executed and then execute the script. I just wanted to know that is it possible to execute a script in the server by clicking a button in the web interface. Thanks and Happy New Year to all once again.
