How to make self-referential URLs in Koha

Hi all, With some recent code, I've been using creating self-referential URL in Koha using CGI->url(), and passing it as a value. With CGI, the URL is correct (ie starting with /cgi-bin/koha). With Plack, it's not, because the OPAC is mounted as "/opac". I worked around this by rewriting the self-referential URL in my code, but I was wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on this. I've noticed there are a few places in Koha where we use CGI->url() and I'm guessing we may have unexpected bugs in Plack-enabled Koha as a result. Of course, one workaround would be to have /opac and /intranet aliases or URL rewriting in Apache, so that the self-referential URLs created by Plack still end up resolving. I wonder if that's the easiest path forward. In the past, I have wondered if we could get rid of "/cgi-bin/koha" as a path prefix all together (especially as cgi-bin scares security tools), but it's so deeply embedded in Koha at this point that it seems a huge task to replace it. Embed see-from headings (authorities) into bibliographic records at OAI repository level

Hi all, An enhancement idea : It could be interesting to enrich the bibliographic records exposed in OAI with see-from headings, this would allow users who use koha with a discovery tool to be able to manage, normalize and index some authorities data ? This is something that could be done directly in C4::Biblio::GetMarcBiblio following the same method used for embedding items. We could use an optional parameter like embed_items (embed_seefromheading) and a function similar to C4::Biblio::EmbedItemsInMarcBiblio by reusing what was made for zebra with EmbedSeeFromHeadings (bug #7417 <https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=7417>). Release maintenance: Monthly string freeze: shall it be announced also on koha-devel and the general list?

Hi :) The idea is to push the librarians, admins, and devs to check the translations out if they remember something off. To try to reach out instead of relying on those already interested in translation and subscribed to koha-translate. Hi, After a few iterations of testing and fixes, bug 29602 looks about ready. It mostly needs someone else to signoff by testing that pages are not broken. Switching Koha to ElasticSearch... any problems?

hi Folks does anyone have any experience running Koha with ES? i've done some basic testing (on 20.11) - it seems to work well and its speed is impressive! (🦄 + 🌈) - is it generally safe to run in production? - any major problems, or missing areas of functionality? any advice or info would be welcomed cheers, Mason

Authority import hanging when replacing matched record

Hi all We've discovered a bug with the MARC staged management. When staging an authority record, we're applying a matching rule so that it should REPLACE a matched record. When trying to import, it hangs on 0% and never progresses or succeeds. This does not happen with ignoring or adding, only replacing. This does not happen with biblios but does with authorities. Request about running QA test tool on bug 26346

Hi all, I hope those of you at the Marseille hackfest are having fun :) I have a request that I would be very grateful for some help with please: Could someone please apply the three patches on bug 26346 onto master, run the QA test tool ( https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/QA_Test_Tools ) and paste their QA test output onto the bug report? When I run my QA test tool on the three patches all the tests pass (see attached output), however, I've heard others are seeing some failures. It would be great to find out what these failures are so I can fix them and get 26346 upstreamed. For context: The patches on bug 26346 ( https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=26346 ) add the option for staff to edit/add-to public lists (not just list owners only, or anyone seeing the list). This is something that both our library clients and those in the community sound like they would find useful.
