The conference will feature three days of talk streams (August 14th to 16th) and two additional days of workshops and special meetings (August 17th to 18th). If you have experience in Koha or around, but no experience in stage-action: we value first more, so we'll try to cover your back! We will talk all about expansion, improvement, and experience exchange, and these are engaging topics for your talk (but keep your experience in priority of anything below): Best practices, tips, hacks, and challenges in using Koha in the library Koha software development, including integrations with other systems The future of BIBFRAME, MARC, and Linked Open Data in Koha Features needed for Koha to become more capable, which the Perl community can contribute to, such as ILL, ERM, and others Upcoming or requested Koha feature developments: proposals, progress, and collaboration opportunities As this will be an event with many IT professionals and developers from the Perl community, we will also cover geekier and dev-related topics. However, we will have one separate stream fully dedicated to libraries (usage, pro-tips, and KohaCon-related topics). You will meet library and Koha experts from 🇫🇮Finland, a country that has already switched hundreds of libraries to Koha, as well as experts from ByWater Solutions, BibLibre, PTFS Europe, Koha-and-library IT-topic activists from France, Germany, Sweden, and more. Even from Ukraine (consider there will be something special about this). Bug 32609 and package building

There's a conversation going on on the bug, about how that change made the build process a bit more complicated (i.e. more steps). Kyle and I have been working on this: https://gitlab.com/koha-community/koha-dpkg-docker#usage which is a simple way to build packages, and considers that required step. User Import Question and RESTful API

Hi All - we have a custom user import script* which was developed by our hosting company (Hi PTFS) way back in 2015 when we first started using Koha. Over the years I have updated it and added new functionality as things have changed. I'm just in the process of testing the script on 22.11 which we'll be moving to in June. I'm getting an error telling me that the GetDebarments** method has been removed from Koha::Patron::Debarments. Looking at: https://git.koha-community.org/Koha-community/Koha/commit/7c1ffd2b11501fdce… I can see that I can get the debarment info from the Patron restrictions method. I can make that change, changes like this are not uncommon with an upgrade as the Kohe code is developed. However, I was wondering if I should start using the Restful API to do this importing. Get "with it" so to speak! Looking at the API spec: https://api.koha-community.org/22.11.html I can see endpoints for adding, deleting and updating patrons, but cannot see any for doing the same with restrictions. Am I missing something / looking in the wrong place? Or maybe an endpoint for this does not exists yet? Cheers, Stephen * We receive user files on the Koha server from our central IDM system every 20 mins. There is an XML file for each user create, update and deletion. Interesting syscalls when Starman starting up

Hey all, Years ago, I chatted with the author of Mojolicious::Plugin::OpenAPI about skipping the schema validation as it was causing extremely high server load. He added a config option for it in a newer version, and that version is available for Koha 22.11. I've tried turning on that config option but not sure if it's working. I have more exploring to do. Koha used to start up quickly and with minimal overhead. Back when I was looking at Mojolicious::Plugin::OpenAPI, if I skipped the validation, I could start up with minimal overhead as well. Looks like things have changed over the past few years to keep the problem happening. Extra parameters sent by OpenID Connect servers

Hi all, I was just setting up Koha to use an OpenID Connect server provided by a Wordpress plugin, and it sent an "iframe" query string parameter along with the "code". I added "iframe" as an optional parameter to public_oauth.yaml which got it working, but it seems an unfortunate workaround. It looks like Koha::REST::V1::Auth::authenticate_api_request validates query parameters and will fail if there's one that isn't in the spec. Most of the time that might be the right thing to do, but I don't think it's the right thing for the OAuth/OIDC routes. What do other people think?
