Kohacon 2016 proposals & voting

Dear all, it was decided on the 5 August general IRC meeting that 1) bidding for Kohacon 2016 locations will end one week after the August 2015 general IRC meeting. If you want to host Kohacon 2016, add your proposal to the wiki[1] now and announce it on the general mailing list, so people know about it. No proposals will be accepted after 12 August 2015, 22 UTC. Proposals so far: - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) to host Kohacon in May or June 2016 - The Philippines (location tba.) to host Kohacon in September or October 2016 You will find more details on the wiki page.[1] 2) voting for the Kohacon 2016 location will start next general IRC meeting, 9 September 2015, 10 UTC. It will be open for one week. Everyone is allowed to vote, one vote per person. Your name and email address will be required. Votes are secret, only people involved in conducting the vote will be able to see them. Your data is not used for anything beyond that, of course. common/patron_search.tt has no select / unselect all option

Hi all, common/patron_search.tt that provides patron search and selection template does not seem to have an option for "select all" / "uncheck all" option, that used to be a part of the previous templates. Staff: duplicate an item

I seem to remember (but cannot find) a suggestion? enhancement? to allow cataloguers to duplicate an existing *item*, in the same way that it can be done for biblios "Edit as new (duplicate)". Could some kind soul please point me to any work that has been done on this? Many thanks and regards, Paul

Hi there! I was looking for anykind of Interface implementation for Perl, and I found Moose and Class::Interface. I cant but wonder why we are not using Moose for Koha::Object. Discussion: how to tackle a problem with statistics data

A customer found a problem with statistical reports. They found the circulation stats for returns grouped all returns on the NULL itemtype. What? Well, yes. My first idea was to fill a bug for that [1]. But looking for the bug on the reports code, I found that the problem was in C4::Circulation. So filled a bug for it [2] and provided regression tests and the fix. Cool. But what about the wrong data on the statistics table? Basically, all returns have the wrong itemtype (NULL). Should we fix that table's data? Should we make the report do the proper JOIN operation on the items table? I'd go with the first option, but probably worth discussing, because there are other bugs related to how the 'statistics' table have been filled. Hi to all, I'm starting to see what to do for sign-off the work done by Olli-Antti Kivilahti about rewritting of Authentication and Test web interface of Koha.
