This is a follow-up to my message from last night. I have now had a chance to look at the pages in Internet Explorer 6 and find them much more readable than in my older browser. I still believe the records may be a little close to each other, particularly on the IPT example. Additional questions on CCFLS: On the Normal View, it would be nice to be able to click on the added entries to conduct a search on that name like one can with the main entry. On the MARC view, it might be nice to be able to click on authorized headings to bring up either a search on that heading or the authority record for the heading. Non-Koha-related cataloging/record maintentance question: On record # mpl19202793 (ISBN 0671032550), Infection (Book 1: Star Trek - Next Generation, Double Helix.), the series is listed as Star Wars | X-Wing: Book 3. Several other Star trek books are also listed in the Star wars series. FAO: Tumer Garip / Problem with javascript when using MARC editor

I mentioned this on the #koha chatroom earlier today; they replied that i should send this to you (and the koha-devel group). When editing a biblio in the MARC editor, and attempting to link 100 $a to a name authority, I see what I believe are javascript errors when clicking on the ... next to the 100$a textbox. The error box contains the following: Error: Invalid argument Code: 0 URL: http://<hostname>/cgi-bin/koha/acqui.simple/addbiblio.pl? oldbiblionumber=1110 If there's an answer to this would appreciate it. Status of head (some infos)

Hello all, I've installed, as previously said, what will be Koha 3.0 in 2 libraries. Here is a summary of some missing things that have to be done : Installer ========== i've installed from CVS. the 2.2 installer has to be rewritten almost completly, as : 1- the librarian part of the install is now done through the webinstaller 2- the config file has heavily changed (.conf => .xml) Does anyone plan to work on that in the next 2 months ? MARC editor ============ The actual MARC editor has some limits : - the code is ugly (i've written most of it, I assume the ugliness ;-) ) - the templates are heavy & hard to maintain - the indicators are poorly written - duplicating a field requires a form submission, thus it's slow So, i've asket toins to rewrite the editor. There won't be new major features, it's just a "code cleaning" and "very complex bug fixing". Fines and Overdues =================== SAN-OP has commited some interesting features about fines and overdues. Except they work only if you have fines on overdues. Which is not the cas of every libraries. we will fix this problem asap (1 of our 2 koha 3.0 libraries don't have fines, but they want to be able to know which borrowers have overdues) I'll also have to describe a little bit what SAN-OP features does... Letters ======== The new letters system is not yet used everywhere : suggestion accept or reject for example, still have to be completed Database commit ================ A fresh install from the CVS won't work at all, i'm almost sure. I'll commit a uptodate koha.sql and updated UNIMARC frameworks asap. I'll let libLime or anyone else work on MARC21. waiting for your feedback. Hello everybody, last year I submitted to Paul Poulain (personally, not through this list) an English version of the UNIMARC labels for Koha (in SQL format). As I started the English version from the French one, I discovered some errors in the French version, which I corrected in the English version; moreover I updated the English version to a more recent update of the UNIMARC standard. Hi (again...) I realise that, for instance, the Koha copyright is given to katipo (and it's written in almost every script). Knowing that katipo has resigned from it's Koha engagment by selling it to libLime, I think we can put that point on an agenda to decide what to do with the copyright. Transaltion of Unimarc in italian (ver 3.0)

Hi to all, my structure wants to use Koha from version 3.0 As italian we need to set-up a complete italian version with Unimarc. I see the web CVS and I think that is a must to have a Unimarc structure in italian. So we need to transalte the file structure_def.sql. I think to start from french version. web installer (fix & new feature)

Hi folks, I've updated/fixed the installer : Now the database Version (defined in version systempreference) is compared to the Koha version (defined by <kohaversion>XXX</kohaversion> in koha.xml file). If the Version systempref does not exist or is lower than kohaversion, you're redirected to installer. If there is no Version, you're redirected to the 1st step of the installer (full install). If Version < kohaversion, you're redirected to step 3 (updatedatabase). With this new feature, when installing a new version [1], you'll automatically be redirected to the step 3 of the installer to run updatedatabase. WARNING : check that you have <kohaversion> in you koha.xml, otherwise, you'l loop forever to the installer... Summary of Koha Project Day

Hi all, Yesterday we had another Koha Project Day. Below is a summary of the goings on. We're thinking of moving the day of the week we do this on to give more folks the opportunity to get involved ... is there a day of the week that would work best for you and your koha project team? Let us know. Summary follows: We met some new folks, so extending a welcome to martinmorris, who's working on configuring Koha; and thanks to jaron for some support help on that front. Dewey was up to his usual tricks, and we fed him multitudinous botsnacks :-) Slef worked on improvements to the installation process, thanks for the commits! Tina and I picked up some books on interface design and started learning about typical processes for designing application interfaces (not just websites), with the intent to improve the 3.0 interfaces before the release. I also installed plone and played around with some workflows for managing users, groups, and roles. We discovered that, like Koha, plone is quite powerful, but requires plenty of customization :-) Chris spent most of the day fixing bugs in HEAD and commiting fixes to the CSS for Russ. Chris and I also spent some time refining our plan for moving to Git. Russ played around with plone, learned up on the plone help center product, moving some content into a plone install to see how it might work (see http://new.koha.org:8080/koha/author/rwgarlick for some of he content created. The Plone Help Center product looks like the goods for Koha documentation, but there are still some kinks to iron out before we have it going properly. Russ also did some testing of HEAD (version 3), in particular fixed a bug with the san-op.css which was obscuring the secondary navigation. Reported a few other bugs that Chris is working on. Ryan and Mason were super busy getting ready for a golive that happened this morning, so they opted out this time. I'm sure they'd rather be working on project stuff, just don't tell the clients :-). Sara spent some time updating lists of koha users found in the wild (they're everywhere! :-)). The best lists now are libwebcats and the Koha wiki, but we're working on a new worldmap that we hope will launch within the next coupla months. Feel free to join us next week, the festivities will start at 12:00pm EST and continue for about 12 hours. To join us, you'll need to download an IRC client (for Windows, mIRC is pretty good: www.mirc.com/) and point it at irc.katipo.co.nz and the channel #koha.
