koha-3.00.00 make fails

Hi all, I have downloaded http://download.koha.org/koha-3.00.00.tar.gz and began installing it on Debian/etch (in a Linux vserver environment). 0. FINE: cd koha-3.00.00 1. FINE: perl Makefile.PL 2. FAIL: make : : : Manifying blib/man3/C4::UploadedFile.3pm Manifying blib/man3/C4::BackgroundJob.3pm Manifying blib/man3/opac::opac-dictionary.3pm Manifying blib/man3/serials::member-search.3pm /usr/bin/perl "-Iblib/arch" "-Iblib/lib" fix-perl-path.PL blib /usr/bin/perl "-Iblib/arch" "-Iblib/lib" rewrite-config.PL blib/KOHA_CONF_DIR/koha-conf.xml Bad arg length for Socket::inet_ntoa, length is 0, should be 4 at rewrite-config.PL line 67. make: *** [blib/KOHA_CONF_DIR/koha-conf.xml] Error 255 Any ideas what went wrong and how to fix? Aside: there were a couple of other problems with this "out of the box" debian based install of Koha 3.0 which had to be fixed along the way, e.g. seven missing perl modules and libgd not found. Yes, the previous problem was solved, indeed... I do not understand why I have so many problems installing koha,.. maybe the last years I was too used to Joomla! installations :D So the challenging koha that its concept I so much admire and embrace makes me face another problem. Authority in Koha 3 (English - Unimarc - NoZebra)

Hi to all, I have found a but into installer data for Unimarc / English language. I'm using a NoZebra setting and I think this option is importan for this bug. The setup of Authority is based on the file installer/data/mysql/en/marcflavour/unimarc/mandatory/authorities_normal_unimarc.sql But this definition gives problems, see my e-mail "Problems on working with authority" in koha general list, 05 Jun 2008 09:14. A correct defintion is the frence definition. Probably the main problem is to insert authtypecode = '' into all records of tables auth_tag_structure and auth_subfield_structure. I think that the frence defintion could be good also for English Unimarc definition. My authority defintion (a transaltion of franch definition into english) is attached to this mail. virtual hosting of Koha

Hello, All, I have been running Koha on a local server, but am testing to virtual host Koha on a commercial server (for example. Bluehost.com) In local server implementation, you need to "make install" to install Koha. In a commercial server, "make install" is not allowed. So does anyone have any luck to run koha in a commercial host? If so, please let me know the configuration changes, and the company's name. It seems that <virtualhost> configuration is not allowed in this commercial server. how to start customization

Hello every body, I have got the clone of koha using the Git after configuring the koha on Debian 4.0. Kindly let me know how can I set development environment to customize koha according to the requirement of our own library. Clone of koha on my local system has all the code of koha modules. Should I access those modules and make changes in required and after saving that locally should commit it using Git? Please help me as I am new entrant in Perl and koha. Have a nice time and thanks in advance.

COinS in Koha

Hi, Some question about COinS support in Koha, we will integrate the unimarc support of COinS in koha, but I have some question about it. Actually only "am" document type is "managed", but why? I think it's too much restrictive, we should only parse the first char of record type(in leader) and compare with known COinS document type. Bug: 2309 resolved ?

Hi to all, yesterday I have installed the last git version of Koha 3.0.x on an Ubuntu 8.10. Ubuntu 8.10 uses perl 8.10 but I don't find the bug 2309. I can insert items without problems. Probably the bug 2309 is solved by the recent operations on XML modules ? TinyMCE Changes Discussion + Initial Patch (part of discussion re: distribution size)

All, I am not sure the proper way to do this, and I hope someone can assist me formalizing and sending this patch to the patches list, or to a maintainer directly -- TinyMCE is only (as far as I can tell) being used for the help editor. This is a 3mb package that is copied to every language specific directory (making the distribution large!).
