How to get CAS based Single Sign On working?

Hi All, I have a situation where we have a main website based on Joomla. This Joomla site uses CAS to authenticate users. We would like users ( who have already logged in to the Joomla site via CAS) to be able to follow a link to Koha site and be logged in automatically ( e.g. Single Sign On ). I have got simple CAS ( not proxy CAS ) working with Koha ( version 3.2.6 ) using the same CAS server as used by Joomla site. Still when I login to Joomla site with CAS, and then go to Koha and click on login and follow the CAS login link, I am asked to fill up CAS login information again. How can this be avoided by using CAS SSO? I have read through http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/SSO_CAS_improvements and am confused by the statement "Note: simple sso cas support (no proxy) has been done already by biblibre, is in testing and should be released in Koha 3.2" in there. Does this statement mean that SSO is possible with simple CAS? If yes how to set it up? If not, I have also read through bugs 6012, 5630 and the CAS Proxy examples. Frankly I haven't been able to figure out how I can achieve the above required functionality based on all the reading. Any help is much appreciated.. Another related query is, Is it possible to automatically create users in Koha once they have authenticated with CAS? Our cataloguers have asked for additional precision in specific stacks -- 952$j "Shelving control number" would appear to be perfect :=) However, any value entered (eg: LLF15 -- loose leaf folder #15) systematically saves as 0 and SchemaSpy doesn't appear to even mention this field which is in the "default template" with no apparent restrictions. Can anyone with good "corporate memory" of 952$j use and programming please assist? Many thanks and best regards -- Paul

Dear Koha devs, two weeks ago I proposed a patch for bug 7413: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=7413 The new automatic renewal feature (bug 11577) will be dependent on that patch. I'd greatly appreciate someone testing it, before I continue the work, just to be sure that I don't build on top of a mistake. File sizes

Recent exchanges on "how big a hard disk do you need" (associated possibly with bug 11830) prompted me to have a look for "big" files on our production box. The worst offender appears to be /var/lib/mysql with the "oracle bug" for ibdata: -rw-rw---- 1 mysql mysql 1335885824 Feb 28 18:41 ibdata1 -rw-rw---- 1 mysql mysql 5242880 Feb 28 18:41 ib_logfile0 -rw-rw---- 1 mysql mysql 5242880 Feb 28 18:41 ib_logfile1 This has been running for 437 days, so I had a look at the sandbox (last completely rebuilt less than two months ago when I looked into git), and the results are not much better: -rw-rw---- 1 mysql mysql 1117782016 Feb 28 18:43 ibdata1 [log files identical] Two questions if I may. First, are my numbers typical? Second, has MariaDB been shelved permanently? Thanks and best regards, Paul

Tax in acquisitions (again..)

I'm still trying to find a solution for the way to handle the tax in acquisitions. I have made some tests in the master : Here are my notes : 1. Prices are saved like it's defined in the vendor : for example if List item price includes tax is set to "no", prices is saved with no recalculation, so tax exclusive. Why not. 2. Prices rrp and ecost are changing after receipt : it has the same value than listprice before receipt but the same value than unitprice after receipt. Why not, I'm not sure it's a good idea to change ecost but it's not a big problem. 3. When the tax isn't taking into account as the same way (example: list price is tax inclusive and invoice price is tax exclusive and vice versa), after receipt prices displayed in invoice.pl and parcel.pl are wrong. Tax is added or subtracted one more time. But values are good in database. I'll test this bug (http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10613) or fill a new bug. 4. In order, gstrate is not the one defined in the vendor but 0 by default. I can complete this bug (http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3980) or fill a new bug for this. 5. In the budget summary, in the home acquisition page, if prices are filled tax exclusive, tax isn't added. But library pay the tax so it should be added in the count. See this bug for this : http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10613 I see only 2 responses at the list of questions in the koha list : I'm not sure we can do conclusions with this ? What do you think about those points ? DataTables - using class names in aTargets

Hi, There have been a fair number of bugs filed for fixing table sorting as columns get added to or removed from tables. At root, they stem from our current habit of referring to columns by numeric position in aoColumns and aoColumnDefs/aTargets, e.g., { "aTargets": [ 1, 2 ], "sType": "natural" } and "aoColumns": [ { "sType": "title-string" },{ "sType": "html" },null,{ "sType": "title-string" },null,null,null,null,null,null[% IF ( exports_enabled ) %],null[% END %] ], However, the documentation for DataTables says that aTargets doesn't have to be just an array of integers; it can also be "a string - class name will be matched on the TH for the column". To reduce the risk of silly columns-sorting bugs, I suggest that we adopt a practice of using descriptive CSS class names for table headers and using the class names in aoColumnsDefs/aTarget specifications, and dropping the use of aoColumns. Thoughts?
