I've just had a look through Bug 6536 and got a little bit lost in exactly when it might be "operational." We have some 2,000 German biblios to catalogue, and (after corresponding with Deutsche Nationalbibliothek who only use SRU and have decommissioned their Z39.50 server) are wondering whether to try and catalogue manually (we have no native German speaking cataloguer), wait for Bug 6536, or find another German Z39.50 (which is proving a tad challenging.) Calculating priority for new hold requests

Hi, An issue that's bugged me for a while is the fact that AddReserve() relies on the caller to set the priority of the request. That historically has meant that there are several different places in the code where the priority is calculated, and the code duplication means that there's a risk of it getting calculated slightly differently. Furthermore, there's the potential for a race condition if the patron or staff member takes a while to actually submit the hold request. The patch for bug 8918 offers the potential start of an improvement for this situation by defining a new central routine to calculate the priority, although at present CalculatePriority() is used in only one place. However, I'd like to suggest that rather than simply expanding the use of CalculatePriority(), that it instead by called by AddReserve() and that the $priority parameter of AddReserve() be removed. This would have the effect of pushing each new request to the end of the line (with variations for future holds and item-level requests). As near as I can tell, all of the places that call AddReserves() alreay implement this policy (including serials/routing-preview.pl, although indirectly). However, I would appreciate a check of that assumption. Sorting prob in latest zebra

Hi, found a problem in opac earlier today. To recreate do a search in opac and then change the sorting of the result set you get a 500 error. The perl tests building the ZOOM module also fail on the sorting tests. I reported it on the indexdata zebra list and the indexdata guys think its a bug that crept in with yaz 5.0.13. update22_to_30.pl throwing MySQL syntax error while creating `labels` table

Hi, While migrating an ancient but very much in production 2.2.5 db to 3.14, ran into a small bug in the update script. Improvment of ACQ during hackfest in Marseille

Hi to all, as CINECA we decided to invest in improvment/bug fixing of ACQ module. I will be at hackfest in Marseille next week. I try to speck with everyone about this topic, no problem if you send email to the list because you are not in Marseille.
