To add a new filed to search (with ElasticSearch)

Hi to all, how can I add a new field to search, if I use ElasticSearch ? As I have check on wiki and on documentation, I need to use .yaml files. Make sure you use the latest coverflow .kpz from the site, and make sure you restart all the things after uploading it. Also, I found that the move of OPACMainUserBlock into the news section, produced undesired effects. REST API / MARC fields

Hi all, Any thoughts here about how we should handle updating fields in MARC which have no specific corresponding database field. I am thinking about e.g. a persistent identifier in MARC21 field 024 or an OCLC number in field 035. Could we add REST API entries for such changes as well? They will only generate changes in the marcxml for now.. Thanks, Marcel

A patch for sorting by call_number in ES

Hi to all, in default ES setup sort by call_number is not working. Inside Koha/SearchEngine/Elasticsearch/QueryBuilder.pm, routine _convert_sort_fields there is this fix convection: call_number => 'local-classification', 'call_number' is the string used in the search abstraction level for index used for sort with call numbers 'local-classification' is the name of the ES index selected for sorting by call numbers I think that the selection of 'local-classification' as standard sort index for call numbers is not a good idea. I think is better to use the ES index 'cn-sort' that is connect with 952$6 [MARC21] and 995$s[Unimarc] and the mysql field items.cn_sort. items.cn_sort is the normalized form of the call number used for sorting. I can write a patch to connect cn-sort with 'call_number' and fix also default setup of admin/searchengine/elasticsearch/mappings.yaml, inserting 'cn-sort' as sortable. What do you think ? Adding ErrorDocument to PSGI Koha

Hi all, Sad not to see the custom ErrorDocument pages for 404 and 500 when using PSGI Koha? Frustrated by white pages that just say “Internal Server Error” or “not found”? Well, despair no more. Jonathan and I have come up with a solution that you can find today at https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=26048. For a one-time low low price of one sign off (and one QA), you too can have beautiful error pages when using Plack-enabled Koha. Despite the small changes to plack.psgi, it was actually a huge effort and huge frustration. But we got there in the end 😃. A suggestion on how manage ES ?

Hi to all, working on a Koha installation with ElasticSearch, in fact I need to manage it. I don't use specific server with an ES cluster. I install all on one server (a Virtual Machine). There are many instruments online like Kibana, ElasticHQ, etc. All those instrument connects to http://<your_server>:9200/.. But: 1)I don't want to open port 900 to the world 2)I don't have a stable IP 3)I don't have a VPN service/server So I have two option, as I know: a)To active user/password access to ES with bin/elasticsearch-setup-passwords But Koha works if I config ES user/password system ? There are problems on Catmandu workflow ? b)I can setup a ssh tunnel on my local systems (two PC, a Win10 and a Mac) to my server, so for ES my calls are in fact calls from localhost Do you have try to manage a ES with my constraints ?
