Hi, Thanks for the kind words and interest. For transferring records, at the moment I'm simply taking a dump of all the MARC records and indexing them using SolrMarc. It's a script I have running on a nightly cron. We don't accession new items very frequently, so once a day for bibliographic data updates is ok. Yes, the koha-restful is the BibLibre code. I have a fork ( https://github.com/cfitz/koha-restful ) where I added a couple of methods I needed. As soon I get back to work, I'm planning on redoing most of the Koha-related code in the app. I want to have closer to real time index updates, with the plans on actually indexing item availability (a big feature request for us is students want to be able to search on items that are available now or are currently shelved in certain areas). So, I think the restful api code will be used just for renewals, holds, and other user account stuff. b,chris.

Koha + Blacklight

Hi everyone, We recently launched a beta version of a Blacklight ( https://github.com/projectblacklight/blacklight) instance that is backed by our Koha ILS. You can see it here => http://beacon.wmu.se/ . Currently, it takes indexes nightly MARC dumps from Koha into Solr, with live availability and location lookups performed asynchronously through the koha-restful api. I am wanting to replace some of this, as it would be really nice for us to have the ability to facet on availabilty and location in Solr (i.e. "Show me only items that are not checked out" or "Show me only items shelved in Course Reserves"). There is also functionality for users to log-in and place holds and check their account, but I have not enabled it yet since the person who issues our SSL certs is away on midsummer holiday (we use Google Apps for Email, which requires SSL for OAuth access). There's still quite a bit of work that needs to be done, especially fixing a lot of our catalog records. But in all it works pretty well. Feel free to ask any questions you might have either on list or directly (although I might not respond immediately as I'll be on the Cycle4Lib ride this next week, so my internet connectivity might be spotty ). items options in rebuild_zebra.pl

Hie, I just created an enhancement : http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10482 It adds to rebuild_zebra.pl an option to limit the number of items embedded with biblio record and an option to define the sort order to apply to those items. This is based on a development made by Biblibre on 3.2 version. This may speed-up some indexing, mainly serials who have a huge number of items. But the main purpose is to avoid a bug : when Zebra has a record with size too big for ISO2709 format this record returned as search result is broken (some items fields contains odd characters). Koha SIP Server Telnet keeps "timing out" upon login.

I keep getting error message, "Telnet Login timed out at SIPServer.pm line 220". Has anyone seen this error or know what it is? I don't think it is because I have the wrong branch listed in my SIPconfig.xml, because it has worked before, but all of a sudden, it has stopped working. This is from a git koha install, vers 3.10. I have used all possible institution ID's that I can think of, and it still doesn't work. Is there something else going on here?
