Environment and tools for Koha development

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask what tools are you using for developing and debugging koha in your workstations. I've just installed Eclipse and the EPIC-ide extension but, for starting with the right foot, it'd be great to know what's the best way of setting it up. By this I mean, things like: do u create a new project and import the files from the developement repo? (public in my case) and things like that. Does anyone have any experience with this tool? field 700 problem

RFC: New syspref category: Web Services

Hi, I realize that this is likely about to become redundant because of the work that Jesse Weaver is doing with his new syspref editor, but while we have the current one to contend with, I would like to propose renaming OAI-PMH category to something like 'Web Services', 'Services', or 'APIs'. This is motivated by BibLibre's new ILS-DI services, which are controlled by a 'ILS-DI' toggle syspref. One of Jean-André patches proposes creating a new 'ILS-DI' syspref category for that new syspref, but I don't feel that it really needs a category all to itself. Since OAI-PMH and ILS-DI are two specific examples of external services optionally provided by Koha, a 'Web Services' category would be a better umbrella. Comments? I have always dreamed about the day where we can install last stable version of Koha just typing "apt-get install koha". How far do we are from that? Where are the problems to achieve this dream? Printing control

Hi, I want to manage printing process at our library. We are using Koha 3.0.3 and OpenLDAP for authentication. We want to control number of prints allowed to each patron. How it is possible? Need French translation for a feature I'm working on please.

I'm getting ready to submit patches for a new feature. I need a kind French speaker to translate a couple strings for me before I go on. "If set a date field is displayed on the Hold screen of the Staff Interface, allowing the hold date to be set in the future." and "If set, along with the AllowHoldDateInFuture system preference, OPAC users can set the date of a hold to be in the future." 3.2 roadmap feature list updated

Hi, I have updated the 3.2 roadmap on the wiki [1] with the list of RFCed (and a few non-RFCed) features that I have reason to believe will be submitted by the freeze date of 6 September 2009. I request that all contributors of features to Koha 3.2 review this and edit as necessary to add or remove submissions that are expected to make the freeze date. You may also email me with your updates. For those features whose only RFC as such is a bug in bugs.koha.org, it will suffice to send me the bug number(s).
