Koha 2.2.0 (officially stable) is for tomorrow morning...

Unless otherwise stated, Koha 2.2.0 will be release tomorrow morning. I've tested installer, upgrade from Koha 2.0.2, both works fine. I've no news from es_AR and zh_TW translations, so the 2.2.0 will be released with french and english only. The 2.2.1 will be released when more translations will be OK. Nelsonville : is the NPL template fully functionnal in CVS ? Can I mention it in the release notes ? It's dinner time for me. I've loaded a new document -- "Koha Architectural Study" by Nicholas Rosasco and Erik Bakke. It's available in either Docbook XML or HTML. There's also a rudimentary PDF version, generated from the original OpenOffice document, but the graphics are pretty poor. OPAC Display Questions

More questions . . . . Having read the documents I have found to be available, I'm still unsure of how to get the OPAC to display what I want in "simple" view. For instance, how do I get the OPAC to display our local call number (which is compiled from our fields 852 h,i,m,k,and t), without requiring the user to go into "Complete" view? Also, our "item types" field is 852 $6. How do I map that so that KOHA sees it properly? Sorry for these perhaps simple questions, but I need a little more assistance, if possible. Some doubts about issuing rules

In our library we have a situation that we don't fid how to represent it with the current schema of issuing rules, maybe you can give us an idea. For every biblio we purchase we give a special treatment for the first item of that kind we purchase. That items are labeled different and their a called "room only items" (ejemplares de sala, in spanish). This books are only borrowed in house during week days; but on weekends they're borrowed till the next weekday (tipically monday). The remaining items of that biblio fit on the standard issuing rules. We want to enforce this rule but we don't find a clear way of doing this, without modifing some CGI and maybe the database estructure. Any comments will be appreciatted Andres

introducting Henri Damien Laurent

Hello koha-devel, I'm very very happy to (re-) introduce Henri Damien Laurent. It's a french developper that is one of my friends. He worked just for fun on Koha 2.0.0 (templated some code). Then he leaved France for Ivory Coast, 2 years ago. In october, he got married, and 15 days after the wedding ceremony, he flyed back to France with the french army (search for troubles in Ivory Coast in 2004, november) Now he is in France with it's wife, and i'm very very very very happy to announce that i've hired him (for at least 3 months, hopefully more). He read this list as well as most other koha-related lists. He works at full time on Koha, on 2 things for now : * moving koha-fr.org (and some other sites) to a new server (P4-3GhZ HT - 512MB RAM, 80GB HD, good bandwidh) * writing stats modules. In the french mailing list, we had some discussion on the new module. I've made a OOo document in French (ask for it if you speak french and are insterested to see what will be in the module) In a few word, there will be some pre-produced stats, plus a tool to export datas in CSV (for Excel / OpenOffice.org Calc), that could enable virtually any stat. (After that, he will work with me on some contracts i've signed.) 2.4. Release Manager? Bugzilla assignments?

Do we have a Release Manager for 2.4 yet? We had discussed the possibility of Emiliano taking the position (here, in IRC: http://koha.org/cgi- bin/logs.pl?recall=recall&saved_query=Koha%20Organizational%20M eeting%202004-09-21), but we haven't heard from him in a long time. Part of the reason I'm asking is that I'm wondering how we should handle the many bugs in Bugzilla which are now assigned to inactive developers (mostly Steve Tonnesen). Is it time to re-think the default assignments in bugzilla? Who should be the fall-back assign-to person for new bugs? Dewey still a double?

Where reading our isntallation to put it on production. Today we were trying to understand some behaviour on koha, so we went to read source code and the database structure. We noticed that the dewey in the biblioitem table still is a double, we thought that this was changed a few month ago, since it doesn't have sence (at least for us). Andres
