No! You can allocate funds and then set a budget ... I don't know what the real wording should be, but a budget is "funny money", where you say what you would like to do with the money you wish you had, and a fund is a supply of real money. So you can start with a fund, and then budget how you are going to spend it, or you can start with a budget and then try to get the real money to fund it (altering the meaning of "fund" a bit here :-) Your version is definitely wrong, unfortunately, because you have "funny money" on the left, and real money on the right. If you remember basic algebra, you can't have apples on one side and oranges on the other, because the sums won't add up... The news you've all been waiting for.... Those of you who have (Francisco Alonso and a few others come to mind!) graciously volunteered to help translate the *manual* (vs the application itself) into your language, I am now ready to help you out. The English manual handling the bridge for 1.2/1.3.x (with one exception, below) is in fair enough shape for translating. ----------------------- What I need: Those of you interested, please drop me an email so I can give you a login/password to the tool we'll be using to handle CVS access/etc for you. To save time, I'd appreciate you suggesting a (meaningful, like something related to your name) ID and password in your emails :). Those of you who have not yet worked with Docbook (the markup language used for the documentation) please *let me know* if you think you'll need assistance -- it looks a little and behaves a fair amount like HTML, so don't panic. You won't need to markup anything, I hope, merely translate what is between tags. If you are: A. C. Li, Kip, Regula, Rosa, Steve, or Paul you have accounts already. ----------------------- On that same note: If you are interested in working on languages that are *_not_ French/Spanish/German* I need to know about it. We've had questions, but not firm commitments, on other languages. If you're also interested in doing the application, we need to make arrangements for that. Tip: If you want to submit translations of Koha itself, and you don't have CVS access, you need to get in touch. ----------------------- What you'll be doing: The DocBook version of the manual* needs to be rendered into the various languages, and uploaded, and proofread (for typos/grammatical lapses). Steve has created a handy, web front end so that you can get access to the Docbook source and upload your versions fairly pain-free. This tool also generates HTML, PDF, *OK, You got me: At the moment the "for the librarian" section is being worked on. Everything else is essentially static in the English edition. MARC::Record - cannot install

Hi, Does anyone know what's wrong with my system? It is a RedHat-7.2. Hi guys, It seems that the marriage is very stable, some english files in the value_builder directory are originally in french. I don't oppone since UNIMARC will probably be the most appropriate in France. I have a question though, I assumeKoha will support USMARC or MARC21 (I PRESUME IT IS ONE AND THE SAME THING). Branches in Koha

Good Day to all, Since I do not have a working version of Koha, can anyone explain to me how branches in Koha work? I mean the template files say that a user can choose a preferred branch to pick up a reserved book...is there an exchange protocol specific to Koha that allows for online updates pertaining to who, where and what book was reserved and is waiting for a patron?
