This could be a dup of Bug 120, but that bug only deal with searches specifically. Parts (CVS) or most (all?) (1.2.3RC23) of the librarian interface also uses this authentication module, but installer.pl does not initialize the authentication database. As a result, the system is unusable after installation. Scenario: User installs Koha 1.2.3RC23 and chooses not to enable .htaccess authentication (probably because he/she does not use Apache, and the web browser uses some other access control methods). After installation, when he/she tries to use the intranet interface, a login screen appears. Because the authentication database has not been initialized, he/she cannot log in. It is not clear how the users table should be initialized. Using the members module is probably the correct way to initialize it, but accessing the members module requires logging in first. However, in this case, it doesn't do a $::realhttpdconf = $choice. As a result, when I try to install 1.2.x over 1.3.x, it will still say It looks like Koha is already installed on your system (/etc/koha.conf exists already). If you would like to upgrade your system to 1.2.3RC23, please use the koha.upgrade script in this directory. You currently have Koha 1.3.2 on your system. even though speaking of "upgrading" from 1.3.2 to 1.2.3 does not make much sense. Development: I'd like to introduce what I hope will become a monthly feature in this newsletter, a monthly development summary. Here are the stats for November. Marzoa Alonso has started researching using RFID with Koha. So far, he hasn't written any code, but says that things are looking promising. France: The first installation in france occurs this week : koha 1.3.2 will be installed in ND-Dombes Abbey, in France. Corinne PESQUET, the librarian, will help debugging the unstable tree and reach a mature product quality. Outside Koha: kbarcode - Paul discovered this kde tool and uses it to create barcodes for the Dombes Abbey. This tool is: * free software (GPL licenced) * graphic (under kde) * stable (despite a little lack of documentation, like most of free softwares projects) * full featured (you can print many barcodes types, and define your own labels, your own calatog...) * developed by 2 germans. Its main faults is the same as any other proprietary barcode editor: it's slow, as barcode generating is a complex task. Translating templates

I've beginning translating templates to Spanish. After doing a checkout of latest cvs source, I've simply copied /koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/default/en into /koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/default/es and begin translating strings within files. Is this the right way?
