problem with koha 123

Hi everybody how are you.... I really need your help, i have i big problem and i dont kwon that can i do! I made a modifys in koha 123 for the system accept my own card numbers and work fine. I had replace my hard disk, and i copied the all folder koha123 of the USR folder in windows. When i reaplace my hd i installed koha123 and i replaced the folder with the copied before, and when i log in the koha and i try create a new memmber the system not accept my own cardnumers if i made the system accept my own cardnumbers what happend? why? if we correct the mistake before and the system was worked fine? and i replace the all system with the old that i have copied. Please i dont kown what can i do? and i think that you can help me.... please Thanks Javier

away & demo mode

Hi all, 3 news : * I'm away from tomorrow until july, 28. I may read mails sometimes, but won't answer probably. (note that tomorrow i'll do a demo in dombes Abbey for a library that plans to install Koha, and I'll do the install/teaching job) * i just commited a little patch to create a "demo mode" for Koha : if you set "demo=1" in /etc/koha.conf, Koha is in "demo mode". In this mode, user can connect with "demo/demo", even if this user is not in members table. He can do everything, except that any modif/add/delete done in systempref or marc structure is NOT saved in the DB. This avoid demo user breaking the config. Note that if you don't change your /etc/koha.conf, nothing is changed in Koha. * http://demo.koha-fr.org is now in 2.0.0pre2 It's in french UNIMARC with 1000 biblios from Dombes Abbey. 2.0.0pre2 with z3950 support

Hi, I'm trying to install Koha-2.0.0pre2 with z3950 support. I'm installing on a standard Redhat 9 linux box. I have installed Net-Z3950-0.35 by hand as suggested by the installer, however it keeps complaining that I do not have it installed? Any suggestions? Problems with Z3950 search

Hi, I got the Z39.50 search function to work, but only after changing the site name "Library of Congress" for the default Z39.50 server to something with no spaces in it! Now when I do a search I get the following in the log: starting loop starting loop starting loop TESTLIB ==> UNIMARC at /usr/local/koha/intranet/scripts/z3950daemon/processz3950queue line 156. TESTLIB ==> answered : 1 found at /usr/local/koha/intranet/scripts/z3950daemon/processz3950queue line 170. Processing isbn="0201896834" at TESTLIB z3950.loc.gov:7090 voyager UNIMARC (1 forks) z3950.loc.gov:7090 done. However, search.pl returns with a "Nothing found" page, and nothing is filled in in the MARC biblio page. I'm using Galeon-1.2.7. I tried with several versions of Internet Explorer but they do not seem to like the javascript. Any suggestions? koha help request (again! sorry!)

Hi everyone- Thanks so much again for your great help last time with my date formatting problem. I've run into another snag, however, and I was hoping you might be able to help me out one more time. I'm running Koha 2.0.0pre2 on Microsoft Windows 2000. My problem is coming when I go from the detailed entry page for a catalog item (moredetail.pl) to try to edit the information for a group. I get the group information edit screen (modbibitem.pl), which loads fine except the graphic on the submit button does not load, I just get that "x" image that shows up when an image isn't found. When I click on it, I get the following message: Server error! The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Error message: Premature end of script headers: updatebibitem.pl If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 500 intranet 07/13/03 20:30:31 Apache/2.0.45 (Win32) I'm assuming this is a problem with something in the updatebibitem.pl code file. But again, I have very little/almost no knowledge of Perl and programming it, so I have no idea how to fix it. If someone could let me know how to fix this problem so that I can indeed update group item information, I would so greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much again!!! -Allyson Bright

Hi Pierre, You might want to take a look at another open source project - http://reportman.sourceforge.net/. I've used it successfully for generating reports against Koha's MySQL database. It even does barcodes. I think the above project is similar to Crystal Reports or ReportSmith that Trevor mentions. I run it as a totally separate program from Koha, connect to the Koha database and generate my report. I'm not sure what rssKoha is. If what you are suggesting would integrate into Koha, I think that would be a better approach. Rob

I was running 1.2.3, and it didn't work. I upgraded today to 2.0.0.pre2, and this problem (along with a few others, to my great joy), is solved! I really need it to show the dates in mm/dd/yy format, or at least get them all into yyyy-mm-dd, but what I really need is for them to show up as mm/dd/yy or mm/dd/yyyy. If there is any way you can help me with this, please reply asap. I'm just at the end of my rope, and the project deadline is coming up very soon. Also--I am a woman with very little to no programming experience. I've been reading "teach yourself perl" sporadically, but that's my only knowledge of the program. Programming isn't my specialty or even in my job description, it just happened that we had a need for koha, and since I'm the most technically literate of the bunch, I got the job. But I still know very little, so I need really exact instructions on how to fix this, what lines to change, etc. I'm sorry if that's a pain, but I just really don't know that much!
