css directory...?

Hi group, After I tried the translator mechanism I see that one can significantly speed up the localization's process. Question: what is the css directory under opac-tmpl? Do I need one for my language? Is tmpl_process sutable for translating it? Thanks guys for all your input on this. Benedict PS. I asked about charset encodings and have noticed that there are three places where one could change them. opac-top.tmpl, opac-top.inc and the one in the css directory, too. That's opac-main.tmpl also. Is there a difference between the too? What?

where to set sitewide char encoding?

Hi, I was wondering where to set sitewide character encoding for the Polish language. In the httpd.conf or in a file of koha distro? Is there such single file? Say, I translate opac.pl using kate and utf-8... Then I update the directories with ./tmpl_process. I can't enjoy utf-8 because koha defaults to iso-8859-1. Paul, how did you menage to set it in the French language? French uses iso-8859-2. Benedict

Hi, I tried the text-extract tool that ambrose commited today for translator tool. Here is a small report : Processing ../../koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/default/en/default.tmpl... Warning: Strange attribute syntax in line 9: ></a></td> If I add "" around href : <td><a href="/cgi-bin/koha/detail.pl?type=intra&bib="></a></td> I get no message. Nice thing : the tool reports HTML errors in english templates :-) Other things : * Processing ../../koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/default/en/acqui.simple/marcimport.tmpl... Warning: Strange attribute syntax in line 32: / but the line is valid : <td width="10%" rowspan=2 valign="middle"><input type="submit" value="Go" class="button"/></td> (the input is self-closed, that is valid. More than an unclosed tag) * lot of errors are about "Warning: Syntax error in comment at line ..." Isn't iso-8859-1 obsolete? iirc it's been replaced by -15, to add the euro symbol. Koha 2.0.0RC4 is out

Hi everybody, This version of Koha is the 4rd in the 2.0 "stable" series. It does not mean that it has no bugs, but many libraries are using it and don't encounter unsolvable problems. If you want to adopt Koha, please do, but you're warned that this release candidate version may still have some bugs and missing features. If you test it and let us know about any we haven't seen yet, it will help us to fix them. INSTALLATION * Download the package * tar xvfz koha-version.tar.gz * cd koha-version * ./installer.pl * Follow the instructions UPGRADE from previous 2.0.0preX or RCx version * Download the package * tar xvfz koha-version.tar.gz * cd koha-version * ./koha.upgrade * Follow the instructions UPGRADE from previous 1.2.x version * Download the package * tar xvfz koha-version.tar.gz * cd koha-version * ./koha.upgrade * Follow the instructions * Open a browser to Koha * Go to Parameters >> Marc structure option and Koha-MARC links option. * Modify default MARC structure to fit your needs * Open a command-line on the koha server * Enter : cd /path/to/koha/misc export PERL5LIB=/path/to/koha/modules ./koha2marc.pl This "copies" the old DB to the new MARC one. BUGS FIXED: major : * #293 : Error Issuing Book - 1 (a very old one...) * #605 : circulation.pl only shows one waiting item * #661 : Set three variables for the circ template: gna, lost, and dbarred * biblio deletion : in some cases, the biblio deletion was done on another biblio than the one asked. * indicators where stored but not displayed in MARC editor/viewer. * book shelves work again (note bookshelves are not avaible in OPAC. they will be added in 2.2.0) minor : * it's now impossible to create a basket for an inactive supplier (it's of course possible to change supplier datas and recieve a past order) * removing "bulk", useless field, in admin/categorie.pl list (NOT in DB, in case someone uses the field) * removing forced order in admin/thesaurus.pl => mySQL returns datas ordered by relevance in fulltext index if you don't force an order. * Next borrower didn't work in circulation.pl (didn't return to borrower form) * in circulation.pl, removing <br> to have all informations without sidebar on a 1024x768 screen. * in circulation.pl, ODUES are in red in borrower header * quoting correctly titles with a " inside, in MARC editor IMPROVEMENTS: * Minor translation & HTML fixes. * Adding >>> in biblio editor to change tab. * Adding a "print" link in MARCbiblio : popup a small windows, print the biblio, and closes. HEAD branch synchronised with rel_2_0

Hi, the HEAD branch and rel_2_0 are synchronized. What I did : * cvs checkout -j rel_2_0 -P koha * conflict resolving (80% were just $id conflicts, other were "true" diffs, the rel_2_0 version being usually the right one -as z3950 server is almost the only thing added in HEAD branch) * commit of all scripts that needed to be. BUG in biblio DELETION

Hi, The dombes Abbey librarian had problems with biblio deletion. After some investigations, DELETION IS BUGGED. under certain circumstances, it will delete another biblio, not the one you want to delete. Under certain circumstances, it works fine. I won't explain when it works, and when not.
