Koha 3.0.1 + OPAC not working

I am using koha-3.0.1 here in my Debian box. My "Staff Client" is working which is in http://192.168.2.30:8080/ but *OPAC is not working. I mean, i cannot search anything there, as well as i cannot login there too!! *Here is my log file for koha-opac-error-log file`s last two lines. Unimarc setup in French, the best ?

Hi to all, this is a question for french developers. Do you thing that you Unimarc setup is perfect for Koha use ? No problem with koha templates, indexes, information to insert ? I want to update English Unimarc setup using the French one (installer/data/mysql/fr-FR/marcflavour/unimarc_complet/Obligatoire/framework_DEFAULT.sql) But I need to know if it is the correct source. The holdings info into MARC, the fields 9xx

Hi to all, when you transfer your dato into Koha, you need to select a MARC standard (MARC21/UNIMAC) and insert the holdings info. For MARC21 many answer on the list say:"insert holdings info into 952". But for Unimarc ? For Unimarc I think that the french setup is the setup to follow. For Unimarc english setup is a transaltion from frence. So reading the file installer/data/mysql/fr-FR/marcflavour/unimarc_complet/Obligatoire/framework_DEFAULT.sql I undestand the I need to insert holding info inot 995 Checking also the indexes defintions in the files etc/zebradb/marc_defs/marc21/biblios/record.abs etc/zebradb/marc_defs/unimarc/biblios/record.abs it si clear that other important local and holdings info are: For MARC21 in 999, 942 For Unimarc in 090, 099 The question that I have: Do we want to mantain different 9xx numbers between Unimarc and MARC21 ? Could we use the French framework defintions as primary source about Unimarc ? In the next mail I write about indexes. configuration of zebra index

i tried the following commands for the configuration of zebra indexes, export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/koha-conf.xml ./rebuild_zebra.pl -w -b after running the commands the message is displayed. "01:00:22-05/05 zebraidx(4877) [warn] No such record type: grs.marcxml.record" have i missed any step..... where am i wrong.... please any one tell me. But in fact Koha templates are only one, so we probably use the same indexes with different source. Hi, The description of finesMode syspref is * <http://75.154.255.185:1889/cgi-bin/koha/admin/systempreferences.pl?op=add_f…>* > Choose the fines mode, 'off', 'test' (emails admin report) or > 'production' (accrue overdue fines). Requires accruefines cronjob. However, nothing in fines.pl seems to be coded to send an email. Was that something planned but that wasn't implemented yet? If this is the case, we should remove the (emails admin report). Also, how should be interpreted the "Requires accruefines cronjob."? I first though there was a accruefines script somewhere, which, as far as I can tell, doesn't exist. Thanks, Eric

Some problems to opt Koha

Hi Well we are in the process of finalizing (on behalf of our client) an open source Library management system. Some background: we surly have a soft corner for PHP based OS, as we are out and out PHP shop. My team has shortlisted 3 options, and Koha is on the top of the list. Koha being on Perl I, as the project lead am not very comfortable. Why? 1. There could be implementation/deployment problems 2. In the situation where the client needs us to integrate some more functionalities/feature sets it will be a problem for us to understand the codes in perl. 3. Our client need a language option (HINDI) the full system to be on both English and Hindi *4. *And Pl send us the details that reagarding installations as we have redhat linux machine on it how do i setup it all will koha use same Mysql Phpmyadmin or it is using another database type??
