Diacriticals, Unicode, and PDF's

Does someone have a few bibs they can shoot my way which contain lots of diacriticals and are unicode encoding? Maybe something in French or Spanish for starters. I'm working toward fixing the unicode problems with labels as a back-burner project. Kind Regards, Chris

Staff Sessions get timeout'd even though they have been active

My librarians brought to my attention that they were being logged out of Koha because their session timed out, even though they had been active less than two hours prior ( timeout sys. pref. is set to two hours ). I added a couple warns so I could see when lasttime was updated and when someone was timed out. I saw timeouts on sessions that had been active from 3 seconds to 1 hour 43 minutes prior. pianohacker suggested changing session storage from the database to the filesystem, which seems to have fixed the problem. Has anyone else seen this? I don't want to file a bug if it's just a problem with my setup. Authorized Values Uses

Hi all, Colin and I were having an off list email back and forth with questions that hopefully you all can help us with. I asked him why some of his new patches didn't add new defaults to the Authorized Values list and he was concerned that the Authorized Values were only for Cataloging because they appear under Catalog on the Admin menu. I mentioned that there are other Authorized Values in there- other than just cataloging ones. That brings us to our question - should we move this link on the Admin page? And should we alter the description at the top of the page to make it clear that Authorized Values are actually system wide? And if so I don't mind reporting that bug and making that change. I just want some feedback before I do anything. Nicole

Also - please note that so far there are 16 results on the survey that were not completed - meaning names weren't entered - these will not be counted!! Please remember to fill in all required fields - including your real name and organization so that we can avoid any mis-use of the survey. Koha Foundation Surveys

Hello all, I am sorry for the delay, I was out of town the past few days. Per our meeting on IRC earlier this week (http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=meetingnotes09sep15) I have put together a survey with some foundation forming questions. If you don't - you can use one of these PDF versions to view the questions and just email your answers. English: http://opensource.web2learning.net/Koha-English.pdf French: http://opensource.web2learning.net/Koha-French.pdf The reason I chose this survey tool was because it would allow for multiple languages, and it allows for some powerful analytics that I can then share with everyone - most obviously it's open source :) Also - you will see that when ranking options you have to rank all options - so just put the options you don't care about towards the end of your ranking. This survey will be active for 2 weeks and then I will put up the final survey - that gives us two weeks to do our research. This survey is open to any and all members of the Koha community - which means anyone with an interest in the future of Koha - whether they are using the software or active in development or not.
