Dear All, I have installed Koha 3.00.03 on Debian-Leny in my organization and I am trying to display book cover. Rewriting the Dev_Week Reserves Updates

Hey all, I'm rewriting my dev_week reserves patch for koha3 and I need some input on whether certain features I had are truly useful. So here they are: Expiration Date: An optional date after which the reserve would be automatically canceled. This one would be pretty easy. Set to Lowest priority: When the reserve was set to this it would always stay at the bottom of the reserves list, even if a new reserve was added. This one is a bit harder, but still very do-able. RFC: Koha Book Cover System

Hey All, Writing the LibraryThing book cover module has really got my brain in full gear. I've been thinking about how nice it would be to add an internal cover system to Koha. That way, a library could specify the exact cover they want if they so wish. Here's what I'm imagining. A new ItemImages.pm ( BookCovers.pm, BookJackets.pm, what have you... ) This new Covers module would be the sole interface for Koha for all cover systems ( Amazon, LibraryThing, Syndetics, etc. ) and would act as an interface between Koha and the book cover modules. Another module ( say LocalCovers ) would act as a caching system. Librarians would then at the time of cataloging, but able to search various sources for book jackets, and choose one to download and save for that bib record. A set of preferences would allow for a cascading selection of sources from which to display book covers. For example, a library could have the system set up to look for a locally stored book cover first. If one is not found, it checks LibraryThing for one, if one is not found there, it then uses an Amazon book cover. Possible Issues: Do any of the cover API's have Terms of Service that could pose a problem to such an system? ( For example, can we cache amazon.com images, or must they always be links? ) The existing C4::External modules would need to be modified. Where should local/cached covers be stored? I'm experimenting with mod_perl, accurately, with perl:: run and searches, to recharge I get this error: Attempt to reload C4/Auth.pm aborted.\nCompilation failed in require at /var/www/kohaorg/errors/500.pl line 21.\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /var/www/kohaorg/errors/500.pl line 21.\n Do not know if someone is working under mod_perl. Offline circ tool [BibLibre coderun]

Hi koha-dev, As you know, BibLibre is working (hard) on a coderun for 3.2 Jean-André (our last hired developer) has almost finished to work on a firefox extension for offline circ. It works pretty well, uses the .koc files structure defined by Kyle. As FF extension, it will be very easy to deploy and update. It should be improved in the next months, Jean-André is working on a wiki.koha.org page about improvements. Stay tuned. Hi guy, am having a play with a script to convert the current mysql kohastructure.sql to postgresql etc. My thinking is that any updates to the mysql kohastructure.sql could be handled by automatically by a script. Firstly I have noticed that some table name and columns names are not quoted. Could some one fix that the next time an edit is done. Does this need to be fixed or is bookfundid unique and justs needs a unique key? Chris Cormack is working on this topic (support Ps in Koha). In fact not all relations are present into .sql code. In fact to check to situation you need to see the code in the API (../C4 dirs).
