Hiding search from users who haven't logged in

Hi, I'm trying to make an adjustment on an OPAC. Is there a way to hide the 'search' form/buttons from users who have not logged in yet? Also, can it be done without editing the templates? Using jscript is fine or via any other method that can be done through System Preferences. Thanks!

Help for Koha and Fingerprint Reader

Koha error diagnosed, new question

Okay, I diagnosed the cause of the error, but now I have a new question. In the koha-conf.xml file I commented out the last two lines concerning the memory caching, memcached_servers and memcached_namespace. That took care of the issue concerning being able to go to the web installer via the full url and getting the fatal error message when I use the just localhost:8080. New install error.

We are finally staging our production server that will house a couple of Koha sites to begin with using apache virtual hosting. I downloaded and install the latest version from the git repository and I have done a clean install. I am now getting something a bit strange and any help would be appreciated. what about 3.2 improvements under AGPL ?

Hello, What do you think about releasing all our 3.2 improvements under AGPL ? http://www.gnu.org/licenses/agpl.html Summary: the AGPL makes mandatory to release source code even if your software is an hosted one. The AGPL is compatible with Koha, as Koha is GPL v2 *or later* http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#AllCompatibility (AGPL is considered as a part of the GPL: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#SeparateAffero ) Of course, everything already existing, that is under GPL would stay as it. I think it would be a good idea. no. I think the grace period helps to determine when the fine is applied but not the amount of the fine. The fine_amount should be based on the duration between the due date and today. (due_date - today) the grace_end_date is grace_days after due_date. (due_date + grace_days) if today is less than or equal to grace_end_date, no fine. if today is after grace_end_date, fine_amount is charged as defined above. On a human note: I think that unless you are a meanie, it is human nature to try and give the patron a break, but strictly speaking, the grace period has nothing to do with the amount of the fine. At our library, there is no grace period but fines are never collected! Bringing the book back is always "good enough". LOL! Koha LibraryThing Book Covers

Hey All, We were thinking of switching from Amazon to LibraryThing for our book cover images. I know they have an API. When I googled 'librarything' and 'koha', I found this: http://www.librarything.com/thingology/2009/03/koha-support-introducing-chr… I searched the git repo and found no references to librarything. Does anyone know if Liblime ever released this code? If not, I'll just have to write a new module to take advantage of it. Possible Feature

Good Morning As we implement here at our district, a question came for a possible feature that was in our previous software. Under Circulation on the admin side, we have Check-In, Check-Out and Transfers. Something that we see very useful and timesaving would be a feature to Renew Books from here as well. How it would work is to select that option under circulation and just scan the book barcode and it would automatically renew the book for the patron. Currently (how I understand it) is you need to go into each individual patron and renew. This is very time consuming if you have 15 patron from a class wanting to renew their book. Let me know what you think. I am not a programmer or I would work on it and submit the code for a possible inclusion. If someone wants to work on it I would be happy to do any testing that is needed. Also, if there is a more formal way to submit this feature request let me know and I would be happy to do that. Thanks Ed Edward J.
