Greetings, I was looking at a bug, and I thought to myself, “What if I wanted the time stamp portion of included in this column, and not just a date?”. I ran: grep '| \$KohaDates with' `find . -name "*.tt" | grep "\/en\/"` just to see how others had done it. Find duplicates when importing the totality of a staged file

Hi, My colleague, Olivier Crouzet, opened Bug 12074<http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=12074> with a patch to be signed off. The aim of this patch is to ensure that there's a research of duplicates when we choose to import the totality of a stage file in acquisitions module. At the moment, this is true only when you choose to import title by title but not when you choose 'import all'. Please have a look and give us your reactions. Best regards. bug 10461 (acq budget summary) and storage of the prices in database

Hi, Bug 10461 concerns the calculation of the available funds on the home page of acquisition. The amount on this page doesn't add the tax if it exists. It's a problem for my university because for some bookseller we actually pay the tax and, the available funds in the acquisition page are wrong. In other institutions, the library doesn't pay the tax, so they don't want it to be added in the total of the funds. So, to resolve this problem, can we add 2 new fields in aqbooksellers to mention if the tax must be added in the amount ordered and if the same for the amount spent. What do you think about it ? I made some tests for bug 10613 during the biblibre hackfest and all the prices seem to be corrected in the display of acquisition module (except in the home acquisition page if we want to see tax added to total... this is "in discussion"). During my tests, I found out the storage of prices isn't consistent (to my mind). I redid my tests today : in aqbooksellers, you can have 4 combinations : 1. List prices: Include tax (1) and Invoice prices: Don't include tax(0). In this case, in the order, listprice is store gst incl. and unitprice gst incl (recalculated). For me, unitprice should be store gst excl. 2. List prices : Don't include tax (0) and Invoice prices : Include tax (1). In this case, in the order, listprice is store gst excl. and unitprice gst excl. For me, unitprice should be store gst incl. 3. List prices: Don't Include tax (0) and Invoice prices: Don't include tax(0). In this case, in the order, listprice is store gst excl. and unitprice gst excl. Ok. 4. List prices: Include tax (1) and Invoice prices: include tax(1). In this case, in the order, listprice is store gst incl. and unitprice gst incl. Ok. In fact, you need to verify if list prices include tax to know if unit price is stored gst incl ou gst exclusive. It isn't critical but for me it isn't consistent. If we admit this comportment and that all the displays are right in Koha, it don't disturb me so much. With the patch of bugs 10613, I think almost all the pages are displayed correctly. After all, this drives me a little bit crazy and I prefer to throw it away and to work on my other late job. Do you have any opinion ? Module maintainers

Hi, Marcel had set up a page on the wiki for discussion about the role of module maintainers, which currently can be found at http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Talk:What_does_a_module_maintainer_do However, I want to increase the visibility of the discussion that has been taking place regarding the role of module maintainers, so I'm starting a mailing list thread. Roles for 3.18; RMaints

Hi, The current list of candidates for project roles can be found at http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Roles_for_3.18 We have candidates for all major project positions with the exception of release maintainers for 3.12.x and 3.10.x. I encourage folks to step up to run for RMaint, particularly for 3.12.x, but we should also discuss what the community support policy for older releases should be. For example, we could choose to support the most recent X stable release branches, or we could decide that we want to support Y years back, although given our release schedule either approach would work out to the same outcome depending on how far back we want to go. We should also consider what "support" means, particularly for the older branches. Several things that could be included in a definition are: - Having a release maintainer actively pushing bugfixes. This is a sine qua non, in my opinion. - General community willingness to respond to questions and bug reports with an answer that goes beyond "please upgrade to the latest stable branch" - Building release tarballs monthly (or maybe less frequently for older branches) - Building Debian packages - Willingness to do security releases Related, the next development meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 23 April 2014, as a two part meeting at 15:00 UTC and 22:00 UTC. Voting on the project roles will be on the agenda for that meeting. UTF-8 in passowrd ?

Hi to all, to check UTF-8 support of Koha (bug 11944) http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=11944 we find problems with create/update a patron's password if the password uses a Japanese char. It could be a problem of the perl libray Crypt::Eksblowfish. I ask your opinion: Do we want to support full utf-8 in password for patrons ? RSS feed for Public Lists

Hi folks: What do people think about providing RSS feeds for Public Lists? One of our librarians mentioned it to me, and I think it's a great idea. The library can curate these lists, and users follow whatever list/feed interests them. Rather than checking on the list periodically, they will get notifications via their feed aggregator. I'm not sure about what format to use though. Originally, I was just thinking of doing standard RSS, but then I took a look at the OPAC and noticed the added bits of 'atom' and 'opensearch', so I thought I would take it to the group. Anyone have ideas about the best way to proceed? I would love if someone with more knowledge of these standards was about to speak to them : ). -David

Koha Installation problem & YAZ version issue
