Registration is now open for the *Access 2011 Conference*, to be held October 19-22 in Vancouver, British Columbia. See http://access2011.library.ubc.ca/registration/ for more details. patches with DB change, workflow

Hi all, I think there are some things unclear (at least for me ;-) ) about submitting bugs with DB changes. We said various things, I don't know which one is the correct one. * http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Tutorial_for_Updating_Database_Files is the wiki page about this * we spoke of using XXXX in updatedatabase.pl to have te RM pick the right number when needed. * We also spoke of using atomicupdate, and let the RM append to updatedatabase when applying to master. What I see is that updatedatabase.pl changes a lot, making patches including them "does not apply" quite quickly. I'm wondering if it would not be easier to have "atomicupdate" and kohastructure.sql, the RM moving from atomicupdate to updatedatabase when applying. I think it would be easier to sign-off -just run atomicupdate attached to the bug- too. I already have encountered the problem twice today (I work on bugzilla). When you go into the details VIEW of an item, the patron sees the Facebook and Twitter icons on the right menu where a Hold is placed. We are still in testing, but we are excited for this customization. Standards Organisation of Nigeria implements Koha supported by Projektlink Konsult Ltd. by Olugbenga Adara The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) Library, established in 1971, has adopted Koha for managing it’s library collections. The SON library has the responsibility to assemble and maintain a collection of standards, normative documents, books and other relevant materials it considers appropriate and relevant for a standards management in Nigeria. The implementation was carried out in conjunction with Projectlink Konsult Limited (PKL) Full details can be found online. University of Guyana Chooses Koha by Sekhar Mallampati University of Guyana (uog.edu.gy), Berbice Campus (South America) has launched it’s Library Automation System Koha on 12th May, 2011. The collection size is around 13000. We are also working on implementing Koha for University’s main campus (Turkeyen) Library which has a collection size of 140000. This is first of it’s kind in the country (Guyana). University of Guyana is the first one to implement this world’s leading Open Source Library Software (Koha) in the Caribbean. Using the IP address will pass-by DNS and may increase a little bit the Koha server performance. Dear community, I've enabled the Z39.50 server in my Koha server following these steps: 1. Edited /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml file and uncommented the publicserver line: <listen id="publicserver" >tcp:@:9999</listen> And change this line: <server id="biblioserver" listenref="biblioserver"> to <server id="biblioserver"> It forces Zebra to listen on unix socket (for Koha) and on TCP port 9999 (for external usage). 2. Restarted Zebra server. MARC data can now accessed from my z39.50 server. Now I want to implement the authentication process so that user id and login required to connect to my server. New Batch error

Hi, I need a help. I installed a 3.4.0 and upgraded to 3.4.1 today. This is a bug or an error of settings? When I click "New batch", my branch is unselected and when I choose an item to add, I received this mensage: * WARNING:* An error was encountered and items(s) not added, the error was: Branch is not set, you please set your branch before adding items to a batch Please have your system administrator check the error log for details. I tried to set a library again, but not work. Any help? Thanks a lot. -- Tiago Murakami

Hello, I've checked what is very old on bugzilla. There are 1603 bugs open as of today. I've added a custom search "very old" displaying bugs that haven't been updated for more than 1 year. That's 295. I feel we will never be able to take care of all those bugs, and many if not most of them are related to problems on now-unmaintained versions of Koha. So i'd like to close all of them and mark them "wontfix".
