Relocating koha.org services

Hi, all. With the shift of koha.org-related services from Metavore (LibLime's former owner) to PTFS, we're going to be relocating a few of the services that currently reside on Metavore assets. Most notably, wiki.koha.org and git.koha.org are going to move to a new system. This will involve a bit of semi-downtime for each due to DNS propagation. It's undesirable and unnecessary to lose read access to these services; I'll copy the data to the new location, redefine the DNS entries, and convergence can take its sweet time. However, in order to minimize data syncronization issues, I'm requesting that no changes be made to either of them after 2010-04-12 07:00 UTC. I'll complete the transfer sometime during the 24-hr period after that. Once DNS convergence is complete (theoretically only two hours, but waiting 12 will be safer), I'll shut down the old service locations and it will be safe to resume changes. I'll send another announcement when that window has passed. Please forward this to any relevant lists or individuals. Enjoy, Clay

Dear Sirs; Working in a research lab and use the koha for the registration of books. Use the 3004 version, and need the option to include multiple copies. Could anyone tell me how do I include this option? Thank you! Hi Koha gang, I have koha running on a 500MB box, vintage 2000, maybe. Slow. I use it for a cataloging class. There 12 students use it simulatneously. Verrrry ssssllllooowwww. Half of class itme is spent waiting for koha. Now I thought I may be able to speed it up with mod_fcgid. In the apache error log, I see the contents of an error page, that has <h1>An Error has Occurred!</h1> <h2>Error 500</h2> <ul style="margin-bottom: 1em; padding-bottom: 1em; border-bottom: 1px solid #CCC;"> <li>In Koha this typically means that the Koha team is working on new features</li> <li>Wait while system maintenance is being done or <a href="mailto:root@localhost">email the Koha Administrator</a>.</li> <li>Use top menu bar to navigate to another part of Koha.</li> </ul> How this comes to the apache error log is a mystery to me. Biblio table

Hello all, one more question, I'm trying to understand the purpose of the follwoing tables and how they comunicate : 1. Biblio 2. BiblioItems 3. Items It's confusing, because first I though BiblioItems table is for books only, but when i added a CD/DVD item it was entered in the BiblioItems. but not added to the items table until I add another Item within this CD/DVD.. Can anyone clarify how they work together Regards, Musab

display search result problem

Hi all, I have successfully configured KOHA in my organization. We uploaded records in Koha as well. Our records in both Roman and Devanagari script. While searching in Roman, the result displaying by KOHA is fined but while we search in local script(Devanagari), it shows unexpected results. So, I will request to all if there anything to do for showing correct result when there is given local language input. Koha-3.0.1 Opac not working on debian 5

Dear All, I have seen a post simalr to mine about OPAC not working on KOHA-3.0.1. According to your response, I have checked the file; /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/prog/en/css/opac.css. This file exists. However, I have checked in the System Preference: OpacMaintenance is not available. What could I be missing? Besides, please show mw by example (if possible) how I should run the following command (without quates); " */home/koha# sudo -u ${KOHA_USER} zebrasrv -f /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml*" I remove {KOHA_USER} and put koha instead but it but it tells me sudo: no passwd entry for $! even if i remove sudo, -u, it still doesn't work.
