Problem with module CGI

Hello everyone, Actually, I'm in a developer group and we are trying to implement new features. Therefore, we need to replicate our job in other machine and when we have done, we have seen the following error: |Can't locate object method "generate_id" via package "CGI::Session::ID::md5" (perhaps you forgot to load "CGI::Session::ID::md5"?) at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/CGI/Session.pm line 74. | Apache Server version: Apache/2.2.8 (Ubuntu) Server built: Jun 25 2008 13:54:13 Koha 3.00.00.107 Koha DB 3.0000107 MySQL mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.51a, for debian-linux-gnu (i486) using readline 5.2 OS Linux atlantis 2.6.24-19-server #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 15:18:00 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux Perl 5.008008 I think -and I sure- that the problem there isn't in our code because, in fact, it's a perl error -maybe a bug in CGI, I don't know-. By other way, when we have installed Koha the first time we didn't have errors. Could anyone help us? Thanks in advance

List of holds

Hello again. I want to know if there is any place where I can see which items are reserved (from the table reserves). I thought it would be "view_holdsqueue.pl" but it list the table "tmp_holdsqueue", but I don't know what it is for. I suppose there must be a place to see all the items that are reserved, and not going borrower to borrower watching what they have "on hold". I want to cancel the holds made by borrowers, but I'm not sure if I must do it because it's not done or is there any place done.

Hi, My first patch has been accepted and pushed to HEAD, i must rewrite a bit this mail which was in my drafts. As Paul announced some days ago, I'm new in the Biblibre team since the October, 6th. I work on user's bug reports, and must fix their problems. On each problem that come from koha, i'll send a patch. I'll assume you have the circulation and fines rules setup already for overdue fines. Also it sounds like you have Koha version 3, so I'll assume you do. Setting finesMode to "production" is the first step. The next is to make a cron job to run the script "fines.pl" once a day. There is an example cron file included with koha. In the source tree it's misc/cronjobs/crontab.example. In the install tree it's bin/cronjobs/crontab.example. This file is an example for the setup of a scheduled process on a unix style system ( like Linux ). Edit this file to suite your need. A few things to watch out for: For me to get this to work I had to run each process as "root" instead of "koha", on each line I replaced '$KOHA_USER' with 'root' The lines near the top, PERL5LIB, KOHA_CONF, and KOHA_CRON_PATH need to be set to match your install. On the line for fines, you may need to change 'longoverdue.pl' to 'fines.pl' or 'fines2.pl' depending on which version of Koha 3 you have. If you see 'fines.pl' in the bin/cronjobs folder then that is the one to use. Once this is edited to your needs copy or link it to the /etc/cron.d directory. You may have to touch the /etc/crontab file before cron will realize it's there. Once you have the cron job running properly your overdue fines show up the next day. You can watch the system log to see if cron complains about anything while reading the file. Mine now is complaining that the wrong users owns the crontab file. Good luck. hourly circulation policies

Hello Daniel (& koha-dev), I'm reading your RFCs abour hourly circulation policies. and I have a question about them. Here in France, a common situation is the following : the students can issue ON SITE (in the library) some books (say 10), for the day. If they are happy with the book, they can take it at home, and, thus, make a "classic" issue. Thus, I was wondering wether your proposal can handle that. I don't think yes, but maybe i've misread something... If I'm not misreading, isn't it something that could be interesting for US libraries ? isn't it a common feature for what we call in France "conservation libraries". Shelving control number

Hi all, I have a question on how you deal in Koha with shelving control number (items.stack, default tag 952t). Since this field is a tinyint(1), it should be between -128 and 127. How did you resolve situations where e.g. 160 small books are on one shelf? *If* the field would not have been signed, we could at least have gone up to 255 books per shelf. Any comments are welcome! view_holdsqueue.pl doesn't exist

Hello everybody! I want to see all the holds that have been done, but when I go to "http://127.0.1.1:8080/cgi-bin/koha/circ/circulation-home.pl" and go to the "Holds Queue", it appears a 404 error. The "view_holdsqueue.pl" doesn't exist, which is where "Holds Queue" goes. It doesn't exist in the tgz I downloaded. Must I download it from git?

Constraints on issues tables

Hi, I've found at least one Koha database that has multiple issues rows for the same item but different patrons. This doesn't map well to the reality of loaning physical items, unless somebody's slipped in a Star Trek-style replicator feature, so I propose the following changes to constraints on the issues table: 1. Make itemnumber the primary key (and not null) - an item can be issued only once at any given time. 2. Make borrowernumber not null - a loan must be to a specific patron, and if the item is detached from the patron, there's no longer a loan. 3. Make renewals not null with a default value of 0. 4. Make issuedate not null - a loan must have started at a specific time; during a migration, if the issue date is not known, a made-up date can be supplied. Comments? I have a problem

I\'m running koha at San Marcos university. http://sisbib-03.unmsm.edu.pe:8080/cgi-bin/koha/about.pl I have a problem with rebuild_zebra.pl. 1. the staff members delete a record, then I search the record, koha retrieve this record, but don´t show me information, because the record is delete, but, why Koha retrieve it? 2. zebra_daemon is running, the output of ps aux | grep zebra is: koha 2034 0.0 0.0 1940 848 ? Not know how to use finesMode

Hello everybody. That's my first email so I hope I can express myself. I want to use the fines Mode but I'm not sure how to put it working. I have gone to "Circulation preferences" and I put the "finesMode" variable to "production", but it doesn't do nothing. I want to create a fine when anyone don't return a book on time, something like to pay $0,5 each day it overpass the "Specify Due Date". I suppose it must be done with "finesMode" but I don't know how to do it. What about "accruefines cronjob", where can I found it? I hope you can help me. Thanks!
