Shelving control number

Hi all, I have a question on how you deal in Koha with shelving control number (items.stack, default tag 952t). Since this field is a tinyint(1), it should be between -128 and 127. How did you resolve situations where e.g. 160 small books are on one shelf? *If* the field would not have been signed, we could at least have gone up to 255 books per shelf. Any comments are welcome! view_holdsqueue.pl doesn't exist

Hello everybody! I want to see all the holds that have been done, but when I go to "http://127.0.1.1:8080/cgi-bin/koha/circ/circulation-home.pl" and go to the "Holds Queue", it appears a 404 error. The "view_holdsqueue.pl" doesn't exist, which is where "Holds Queue" goes. It doesn't exist in the tgz I downloaded. Must I download it from git?

Constraints on issues tables

Hi, I've found at least one Koha database that has multiple issues rows for the same item but different patrons. This doesn't map well to the reality of loaning physical items, unless somebody's slipped in a Star Trek-style replicator feature, so I propose the following changes to constraints on the issues table: 1. Make itemnumber the primary key (and not null) - an item can be issued only once at any given time. 2. Make borrowernumber not null - a loan must be to a specific patron, and if the item is detached from the patron, there's no longer a loan. 3. Make renewals not null with a default value of 0. 4. Make issuedate not null - a loan must have started at a specific time; during a migration, if the issue date is not known, a made-up date can be supplied. Comments? I\'m running koha at San Marcos university. http://sisbib-03.unmsm.edu.pe:8080/cgi-bin/koha/about.pl I have a problem with rebuild_zebra.pl. 1. the staff members delete a record, then I search the record, koha retrieve this record, but don´t show me information, because the record is delete, but, why Koha retrieve it? 2. zebra_daemon is running, the output of ps aux | grep zebra is: koha 2034 0.0 0.0 1940 848 ? Not know how to use finesMode

Hello everybody. That's my first email so I hope I can express myself. I want to use the fines Mode but I'm not sure how to put it working. I have gone to "Circulation preferences" and I put the "finesMode" variable to "production", but it doesn't do nothing. I want to create a fine when anyone don't return a book on time, something like to pay $0,5 each day it overpass the "Specify Due Date". I suppose it must be done with "finesMode" but I don't know how to do it. What about "accruefines cronjob", where can I found it? I hope you can help me. Thanks!

should amountoutstanding approach zero?

I'm looking through Accounts.pm and I see the call to fixcredit() is commented out, and the POD for fixcredit() declares it deprecated. So it seems that amountoutstanding is not adjusted when manual credits are entered. I would rather see amountoutstanding change than that it not change. Are there any comments on this? Am I missing something? Thanks.

in the Template for Cataloging HTML escaping title in the search results breaks search term highlighting

I recall there being a couple patches, one to HTML escape the title in search results, and another to reverse that change on the catalog page. HTML escaping the title breaks search term highlighting. The cataloging page still suffers from this breakage. Perhaps these fields could be html escaped before the search term highlighting is applied? Thanks.

Installing 3.0 on FreeBSD - Web Installer Errors

I've been struggling to get Koha 3.0 installed on FreeBSD 7.0. I know, a glutton for punishment, right? After wading through the installation process (including installing additional cpan modules and rewriting the installed sample koha-conf.xml and koha-httpd.conf files to use the right file paths, since the installer didn't seem to configure them based on what the makefile used), I've finally run into an issue that I can't find enough information to solve. My understanding is that the web installer is supposed to install the tables into the database. At least, there is nothing in the koha database at this point. patches for 3.0 / head / both

Hello, atm, all patches are sent to patches(a)koha.org They are supposed to be relevant for HEAD. but : how will we deal with patches that are 3.0 only ? For example : updates of the french translation. They are 3.0 specific, and can't be merged in HEAD. In a few weeks, I think we will have some bugs that are 3.0 only, and irrelevant in head (due to some structure/code/features changes) so, how will we deal with those ? I once suggested to have a patches30(a)koha.org mailbox, this proposal has not been accepted. But I come back with the general idea, as I think it's something we will face quickly.
