Search for cyrillic words not good

I am work with Koha 2.2.7 for Windows, encoding utf-8. Addition of records works as English and Ukrainian (cyrillic alphabet) well. But search for cyrillic is case-dependent, although for English words search does not depend from register. Also added one cyrillic book to LibLime: http://koha.liblime.com/cgi-bin/koha/bookshelves/shelves.pl?viewshelf=56 But there search for this book not work at all It's bug?

rel_3_0, zebra 2.0 & updating Koha through ZOOM (or : high load tests at SAN-OP)

Hi, The SAN-OP did some high load tests this week, with all librarians (around 100 computers) working with rel_3_0... Just to remember : 300 000 items, 7 branches. Here are some results : - with mod_perl activated & innoDB database for mySQL = good response times, some major problems on tuesday, solved on wednesday, everything OK on thursday - without mod_perl & innoDB database for mySQL = (really) too slow to be usable. - without mod_perl & myISAM database for mySQL = good response times, but we lack advanced features from innoDB (like foreign keys... + if I don't mind, myISAM is no more the default DB under mySQL 5.0) - they worked on zebra 2.0, with zebra real-time updates activated (zebraop NOT commented in Biblio.pm). The bad news : they face the same behaviour as joshua with zebra 1 :-((((( So, our friends from Indexdata still can't insure that we can use ZOOM to update biblios... - as a reminder : the 3.0 french translation is almost done, but pascale Nalon, that works on it has found some inconsistency in OPAC strings (like book bag & basket both used) The move to production will be on january, 3rd, keep fingers crossed... cheers -- Paul POULAIN et Henri Damien LAURENT Consultants indépendants en logiciels libres et bibliothéconomie (http://www.koha-fr.org) Tel : 04 91 31 45 19

spell suggestion in rel_3_0 (for kados 1st)

Hi world, in opac-search.pl, rel_3_0, there is a spelling suggestion when the search don't return any answer. It is based on some hardcoded database : DBI->connect( "DBI:mysql:suggest:66.213.78.76", "auth", "Free2cirC" ); I tried to activate it, but get a : > [Fri Dec 15 16:33:55 2006] [error] [client 193.251.63.39] DBI connect('suggest:66.213.78.76','auth',...) failed: Host 'paulpoulain.pck.nerim.net' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server at /home/paul/koha.dev/rel_3_0/opac/opac-search.pl line 578, referer: http://o18.bureau.paulpoulain.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl which is not a surprise to me ;-) then I took my mining light, and entered the caves... I found : make_spellcheck_suggest.pl, in misc directory. This script seems to have some problems : - it relies on marc_subfield_table & marc_word, that don't exist anymore - something is missing at line 97 : %tables variable is missing some tables descriptions (& a "; at the end...) - it works with soundex algorythm, that is very poor in french (it doesn't take care of accents & other french-specific things) opac-search.pl itself seems to have problems too : - $koha_spsuggest_insert is never called : is it a feature you have abandonned ? I was wondering : - if there is a more uptodate script that you forgot to commit, because this one can't work (I can't find the script in dev_week) ? - if we could use a specific soundex, depending on the language : there are some well working soundex_like algorythm for french & I bet other languages have their. That would require removing the str_cmp(soundex(suggestion),soundex(?)) from opac-search - if we could use Aspell for spellchecking. So what's up with the Koha Blog Aggregator? It seems to be unmaintained. I think we should either link it to the places developers are blogging (or other feeds, etc.) or remove it from the home page. About serials claim/late issues

Hi I have some questions about serials Module. It seems that some functions are broken in rel_3_0. For instance, when getting on claims page, looking at the logs, i see : Undefined subroutine &main::bookseller This function I guess is supposed to get a bookseller and (hopefully) retrieve the list of late or waiting issues. But this function exists nowhere in rel_3_0 Code. Would you have a Copy of the *.pm files you use ? I also saw claim form 1 2 3 4 in claims.pl code. And I wonder what those forms are linked to ? Where they are ? What they are likely to be ? How they get processed ? -- Henri-Damien LAURENT

Hello,all After install koha 2.2.7,koha don't work well. you must modify koha-http.conf Add SetEnvIf Request_URI "\.pls" PERL5LIB"/usr/local/koha/intranet/modules" SetEnvIf Request_URI "\.pls" KOHA_CONF "/etc/koha.conf" to koha.conf,koha still have some functions don't work. my soultion,you can add use lib 'your path/modules';（place in front of use C4::modules.） to every koha perl script,use script help you do it. Problems with exchange rates

Greetings, I'm trying to setup the exchange rates in a test Koha setup. The currency of my country, VEB, is at 2150 VEB per USD. So I'm setting up VEB with a rate of 1, and USD with a rate of 2150, but I always end up with 99.99999 VEB per USD. This is happening with Koha 2.2.7 in a Debian Sarge system. After peeking in currency.pl and C4::Acquisition, I changed the data type for the "currency" table with the following SQL statement: ALTER TABLE currency CHANGE rate rate float(9,5); I'm now able to use this value in the Acquisitions module. Is this the right way to achieve this? If so, are you planning on changing the default data type for the "rate" column in the next releases? Jose -- José M.
