Framework authorities setup in MARC21-Problem

Hello: I am involved in a project to migrate a self made ILS system to koha in the "Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Sevilla (SPAIN)" and we have some "configuration issues" :-) We have set up the opac interface for searching at the library, but we still have the librarian on the old application (with weekly dumps --> restores into Koha).We have a reasonable method to export data fron the actual system and import into koha via the bulkmarcimport.pl script. The problem we have is with the setup of the authorities on the librarian interface. I have read "all/most of " the docs we have, but I do not understand how it works and how to configure the framework. We need a system to limit authors / subjects / publishers to a predefined list of values but the "authorised values" is not enogh. If somebody could point me to a "howto" or some other document y have not found yet, it will be very appreciated. Thank you for your help. Pablo Villanueva

Thanks Waylon In fact the idea came from moodle (an open source learning mamagement software). There we can upload students picture from scanned file available in local system in gif/jpg/png. As we know library memebership is not tranferable, a picture of borrower in the circulation panel will ensure proper use of lending facility.Hope developers will agree with my view. Koha and mod_perl

Hi all, I've seen a few messages on the list in the past about running Koha on mod_perl. Would anyone who's actually doing it be willing to describe the process of setting it up? What distro are you running, what version of Apache and mod_perl (and Koha), did you need to make any modifications to any of the scripts or modules? Koha demos at Library Conferences

I'm wondering if anyone on the Koha team is considering setting up tables or demos for any of the library conferences? A lot of library directors and key personel attend, especially the big conferences, and would not otherwise hear a thing about Koha. Many directors seem to cultivate a single representative from a single vendor and then have them provide ALL their information about what is and isn't possible, how much it costs, etc. Attending a conference would help break that cycle and may almost certainly add to Koha development.
