Hiya, ive just got the Palmerston North Theosophical society library online, intranet access. its not the production server, just a dummy. 5 years ago, i dreamed up the idea of putting the card catalog into a computer, went from title, author, publisher and publishin date to lots of fields, to spreadsheet, to mysql and koha. goto: genji.homeip.net username: koha password: koha thanks everyone for supporting koha... without you, koha would not exist. Formatting currency

I was looking at the new template for circulation.pl, and noticed that when the page was reporting a member's outstanding debt, it came out like '2.00000'. I'm wondering if there is ever a time when we want displays like this to show so many decimal points? Perhaps in Acquisitions, if you're working with exchange and taxation rates (although I would think numbers there would be rounded up as well)? Does Koha need a 'currency format' preference like it has a date format preference? Or would everyone be happy with just two decimal places? Thanks, Owen

2.0.0 release date

Hi, My goal here is to ask for a 2.0.0 release date. It may sound strange to have the Release Manager asking users for a release date, but let me explain : The 2.1.3 works fine since some weeks in EMN, in France. My opinion is that the 2.1.3 can be used in production. Not 100% bug free with a UNIMARC DB, but works. The question is : how works 2.1.3 with a MARC21 installation ? Important question, but I don't know it's answer yet. Nelsonville or Katipo, did you do some tests ? So, when do you think I could publish a 2.2.0RC1 in the stable tree ? My opinion is ASAP : I don't want to wait for months like I did for 2.0.0. As I said previously, I realize delaying the 2.0.0 version had a very bad effect on french libraries, that didn't want to install 2.0.0RCx, thinking it was too unstable. The DB schema didn't change from 2.1.2 to 2.1.3 and still has no change. I think this is the most important point : the DB IS stable, so Koha is on the road to be stable. Koha future

Hi Lee, I was doing some study in RFID system and the respective protocols. There are already some tools available for RFID technology in Perl: http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/dist/RFID-Base However, there are no Perl module available for SIP2 or NCIP. Could you please elaborate on what the SIP2 toolkit does? I mean what are the development efforts needed from a Perl programmer to use your toolkit in doing the integration? Could you please explain how do you make that toolkit available? I've been working with Koha for more than past 2 years and I'll be interested in writing the wrapper for Koha, using your toolkit.
