Koha Meeting on IRC

Hello everyone, Exciting times I think are upon us for Koha - Paul is getting ready for a new release, and we've had a few more volunteers so we'd like to shchedule an IRC meeting to get together, and plan the next stages. Planning days and times is a bit tricky. From memory we've had meetings at 18:00 GMT in the past I think - which is about 6am here, 11am in Los Angeles, 8pm in Paris, 1pm in Brazil So is 18:00 GMT Next Monday (13th) A good candidate? Missing File

I've downloaded and installed today the 2.1.1 version of Koha, in order to be again in the bleading edge. While testing the members section of the intranet, in the member search screen, I've noticed that when I clicked the button "add member", i get a horrible crash, a CGI was missing. I've got the missiong CGI from a previous install I've also updated the path that were pointing to the wrong place. The CGI is attached below. The missing CGI should be added in the INTRANET_CGI_DIR/members Andrés

Hi, I'm working on renewals for 2.2 with new issuingrules, some code has to be rewritten for renewals. Multilingual Support in The User interfase

I'm currently working on a project to migrate our Isis Library System to Koha. As part of our migration tasks we have to translate to Spanish the USER interfase, the People working in Argentina (at SIU) in this area pointed me to their work. I've noticed that in the config file I can't specify a "Default Language" for the User Interfase, but I've noticed that there are Language especific directories (ie koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/default/en). Koha will take into account the preferred language for the browser and act acordingly? Even tough there are translations to vasrious languajes it seems to me that they aren't integrated to the main tree. I want to contribute my work to the main tree, are ther any plans to integrate to the tree the trasnlations? Thanks, forgive my poor written english. Andres

Thanks for passing this along Paul, it's great news. I'll reply to individual points below, but have some thoughts from OSCon that I wanted to pass along to the devel list. Tim O'Reilly talked a lot about web services, platforms, and social software in his keynote, and there were some ideas that seemed to make sense for the Koha world (especially in light of discussions on oss4lib about modularizing the ILS). Web Services for users/clients: reviews/ranking (this is a nice bit of participatory social software too) search patron info reserves reading club (or similar) tools Web Services to make use of (from other sources): amazon reviews/ranking amazon buying circle info ibiblio cddb imdb Social/Participatory Software: how can we give patrons more control over their own data?
