Koha 3.0 - Zebra installation

Dear friends last few days I'm trying to install koha 3.0 (RC1) on Fedora 7 as per the instructions given in the Koha 3.0 suite. I've done with all the Perl modules (through CPAN utility) and Yaz tools. I'm facing problem with Zebra. However, I wanted to inform you that we conducted one 5 day workshop on Koha during December 2007. The version we covered was Koha 2.2.8 (the latest stable release during that time). "Library deleted" failing

Dear koha developers, I hope you do not hate me for reporting so many bugs... :) During the koha installation I chose to install the sample of Library/Branches. Now I want to delete them, using the webpage http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/koha/admin/branches.pl, of course... I have successfully deleted all of them except of libraries of Franklin, Midway, Pleasant Valley and Springfield. RFC: Renaming homebranch/holdingbranch in MARC21 Framework(s)

I would like to change the default labels for homebranch & holdingbranch in the MARC21 frameworks as follows: homebranch : Permanent Location (from 'Location (homebranch)' ) holdingbranch: Current Location (from 'Sublocation or Collection (holdingbranch)' ) The current language for holdingbranch implies it is/could be a subset of homebranch, and is confusing for new users of Koha. This change should not impact translations, as the change occurs only in the db-stored labels. An alternative to 'Permanent Location' would be 'Owning Library'. I think it would be better to implement this last-minute change than to commit ourselves to labels that suggest a non-existent relation. Koha 3.0-stable final release date

Hi folks, The RC1 for 3.0-stable has been generally well received, and translators and testers have been hard at work. A few issues were revealed, and I've been asked by a few translators for an extension to wrap up some remaining strings. In particular, the issues surrounding CGI::Session::Serialize changes on CPAN, as well as some Serials bugs that BibLibre have been working on, really do need to be resolved before we declare this release stable. With these issues in mind, I've decided to delay the proposed final release date of July 1 (yesterday!) to next week, July 7th (a Monday). Great work everyone, we're in the home stretch. I'll keep you all updated as things develop.
