im still having trouble with my pubdate indexing. record.abs says its indexed as year, and numeric... but find @attr 4=109 @attr 2=4 1983 fails with "Relation not supported". Question about using icu

A BIG thanks to Henri for suggesting that we try using icu to resolve our diacritic issues. The good news is that this worked great on our development server with about 30 records. The bad news is that when I go to reindex zebra on our production server the process fails to commit. The production server currently has about 2000 records at this time. Any ideas or suggestions. koha 3.0.4 + cannot delete extra libraries with their names

Hi, i want to delete some extra libraries from my koha system. Then, i could delete three from GUI; Koha-> Administration-> Libraries & Groups. But, there are more two including default "My library". Then i went to mysql an tried to delete those two library names, which are as sub-branch; but, i cannot delete those. Error shows: * mysql + #1451 - Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails* -- Best, Zico

file encoding problems

I am trying to edit the sort-string-utf.chr file to map characters with diacritics (acute and grave accents) to letters without accents. The problem I am running into is that I am trying to open up the files in a program called jEdit. The editor tells me that the French version is in cp1250. The English version is utf-8 encoding and the diacritics are showing up in the file with all sorts of extra characters and square boxes. Any suggestions at this point would be appreciated. New cataloging permissions

Hi all, Can someone explain to me what the new cataloging permissions for staff do? editcatalogue Edit Catalog (Modify bibliographic/holdings data) * edit_catalogue Edit catalogue * fast_cataloging Fast cataloging What does fast cataloging do - and how is it diff from the ability to do full cataloging? Possible Bug in Circulation - > Overdues

Good Morning All We are having an issue when trying to download our overdue list. The link is located under Circulation -> Overdues (under Circulation Reports) -> Download file of All Overdues. When we click this link it goes through the motion of creating an excel file and opening the file in Excel but has no data in it. We tried to filter out just one branch but that didn't' work either. There are about 20 or so overdue entries listed on the screen. Any thoughts? Thanks Ed Edward J. ISBN search problem (nozebra)

I communicated this issue to the list a while ago. In case anyone has the same problem, I have solved this the following way: Go to system preferences Cataloging NoZebraIndexes Change isbn to nb save Reindex using rebuild_nozebra.pl Now ISBN searches work. I still have the same problem with "Limit type to" What is the type index called in NoZebraIndexes? I will appreciate comments about this issue. 1) Why is this? 2) How does zebra = yes handle isbn searches?

How-To setup overdue notices sending feature

hello all I am using koha3.0.3. I wanted to use the funtion of sending overdue notices to the patrons by koha automatically from the crontab. Is there a how-to expalining the process??? I have tried to setup it in my local computer having sendmail installed. But i could not get sucess in sending the mail to the patrons. The same crontab calcualted the fines very well. Please help me. New Acq Module Bug?

Okay - so I can't even get to Acq anymore now that I've upgraded Koha ... When I click the Acquisitions link on the main page it send me to: http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/koha/acqui/acqui-home.pl which my system can't find ... anyone else having this issue? Nicole
