translator spoils server setup

I think it was like this: I was translating npl_intranet.pl_PL (which I have generated via the tmpl_process.pl) and gradually updating live server with tmpl_process.pl install option. At a certain point transfers and returns sopped working. npl: input boxes dissapear

I don't know whether this is intended behaviour but once Add MARC is pressed the three input boxes "Issue to:, Search, and Quick Search dissapear from the navigation panel. Benedict

Requests and their cancellation by owner

HI group, I noticed that Requests made by user cannot be cancelled. There is no such button to do so. Kohaadmin can do that, though. Isn't it strange? A user should be able to cancel his/her own requests if he/she wished so (before reservation expires). This would give other users an opportunity to reserve an item once available. Benedict

Hi, the "Join" link in default opac theme doesn't seem to point to a subscription page, as its name suggests. Is it a bug? Benedict

Library name in syspreference

Hi all, What governs the size of an input box in templates? The "Library Name" input box in syspreferences should be a lot longer for an admin to see the whole expression. The explanation window is longer than it is necessary, instead. Benedict

"bump that up" question in script

the question that buildrease script asks: bump that up to 1.9.4? Is it something that a regular user should be aware of, or is it just for the mantainer? the second question it asks: What should the new release be [1.9.4]? Does it affect the tarball or a release or is it used only for the name of the newly created tarball? Is it relevant for me to put RC4 or whatever? thanks Benedict

mysql charset and template charset

Hi dear group, I have doubts which I would like to clear out. I haven't tried Koha in real life yet but wanted to know what will happen when the translation is done with charset=utf-8 and MARC data that I would like to import into KohaDB and MarcDB will be in iso-8859-2? How will the search results display in such a system? Normally the diacritics do not dispaly correctly if the browser is set to utf-8 and the text is of different kind. Thanks Benedict

ISBN search in opac, no go?

Hi, Why is there not an isbn search input box in advanced search option? The barcode search is there but a user doesn't know the barcode by which to look for items. Shouldn't it instead offer an isbn search? thanks Benedict
