Test Drive, Am I missing anything here?

Hi group, The Test Drive version of Koha (1.9.2) installed at htl.katipo.co.nz looks a lot different (read: more advanced) than version available from CVS marked with rel_2_0_0 tag. What's missing in rel_2_0_0 is the Marc module (between Acquisition and Circulation module at katipo test drive site). Also what I miss most is the right Cascading Style Sheets in rel_2_0_0. The grey belt on which modules are listed disappears when Parameters, Circulation, Members, Catalogue modules are pressed. Or is it just me...? Benedict

Hi, No I wouldn't create the file with touch. I didn't give the full file name because it has a timestamp in the name and the file should be created automatically when processz3950queue is run via z3950-daemon-launch.sh. Do you have the directory /usr/local/koha/log (maybe that's "logs" instead of "log") with other files in it? Deric -----Original Message----- From: Benedykt P. Hi, What version of Perl do you guys use. I get a problem with z3950 and I'm using Perl 5.8.x (x=1 I think) on a Fedora Core 1 system. A system such as Red Hat 7.3 uses (by default I think) perl 5.6.1. The man page for "perlfork" with 5.8 says "...fork() emulation has considerably matured...", while on 5.6.1 it says "...continues to be an experimental feature...". I think the problem (or part of it) is because of the fork() call. There's an email from myself 2 days ago and one from tomasz on Feb 17th that describes this. Maybe that information can help. Maybe Ben can look if he gets any errors in /usr/local/koha/log/z3950...log that mention lossing a connection to MySQL? Deric

Hi, I've commited modifs in processqueue in rel_2_0 branch. I've hardcoded the db handler call everywhere. Let me know if it works better. Another idea : did you modify your /etc/my.cnf (mySQL config file) ? ine has been. I copy it to you : [mysqld] set-variable = key_buffer=32M set-variable = max_allowed_packet=1M set-variable = table_cache=256 set-variable = sort_buffer=4M set-variable = record_buffer=1M set-variable = myisam_sort_buffer_size=16M set-variable = thread_cache=8 Note : i did >10 tests with 2 servers open. It looks like 'Current Loan' is supposed to tell you something about whether the item can be renewed or not. This is what the script says: # check if item is renewable my %env; my $status = renewstatus(\%env,$borrowernumber, $issue->{'itemnumber'}); $issue->{'status'} = $status; But as far as I can tell, this isn't accurate. Maybe someone can check it out and let us know. -- Owen
