3.2.7 Early Release Notice

Hi everyone, April is a big month with the forthcoming major release of Koha 3.4.0. So in order to yield the stage to the 3.4.0 release, the 3.2.7 release will take place one week earlier than our normal schedule on 15 April 2011. This puts 3.2.x into string freeze on 8 April 2011. 3.2.x will return to its normal release schedule on the 22nd of the month in May with 3.2.8. 3.2.6 Release Schedule

It's hard to believe a month has nearly passed, but here we are again.... 3.2.6 is on track to be released on March 22, 2011, however, there is another important date between now and then which you should be aware of. On March 15, 2011, 3.2.6 will enter a string freeze to facilitate finalization of translation updates. After this date the only patches introducing string changes which will be pushed for 3.2.6 will be those addressing blocker bugs or security issues. All others will be pushed to 3.2.7. [Koha] pt-PT Staff Translations

Hi there. I've almost completed the portuguese translations for Staff Client. Of course, the translations need a revision because they are 9000 phrases and it's normal to have some errors... There 29 words that weren't translated but the interface for translations crashes when I tried to translate those words. Frédéric or anyone on the Koha translations administration, it is possible to know what's the problem? Regards. Vitor Fernandes

Hi, currently there is no way to load bibliographic frameworks or other things in additional languages into the database and make the display obey your chosen language on the bottom of the page. You can load sample data in different languages during install - this is available for German including translated frameworks. At the moment only one language at a time is supported for the database based data. Other exemples for that are authorized values, item types, borrower categories or notices. I recall that I have read in one of the Koha digest posts that a German Koha was built with English and German infrastructure to allow using either language in all of its user interface including marc tags and policy descriptive names.
