Few questions re translating on Pootle

Hi All 1. Under "Show checks" for Turkish it reads unchanged 51 strings (4%) failed Since unchanged means the source & translation are the same, then I suppose there are some problematic strings in the original English version, and there is nothinh we can do about it. Is there? 2. Should we really translate such a string: %s/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?%s%s&format=atom If yes, and if I translate it as follows, would it work: %s/cgi-bin/koha/katalog-tarama.pl?%s%sbiçim=atom Please note that the string may not show on all screens exactly as I have typed because of c with cedilla in bicim Otherwise which parts of this string is expected to be translated? 3. Can we use non-English characters such as s with cedilla in expressions where a few words are used together without space such as checkoutsystem in the following string, and should we also keep them together: HELP with the self checkoutsystem Which of the following would be correct for this string: Proper Turkish expression:Otomatik Ödünç & İade Sistemi için YARDIM Spaces removed but Turkish characters used: Otomatik ÖdünçİadeSistemi için YARDIM No space no Turkish character: Otomatik odunciadesistemi için YARDIM Thanks for your help Seasons Greetings to everybody Selma

Opac available for checking translations

Hi All I can see you have all been busy, there have been many many translations made. I have set up http://opac.koha.workbuffer.org/ with all the updated translations. I will update this each day so people can check their translations in the opac. Im working on setting up the intranet interface too. Chris

Hi Chris re: http://translate.koha.org/tr/opac3_0/ has now got the lastest file from kartouche, so there is only 8% untranslated. Thanks for your reply. It is true that the file you mention has got 8 per cent left to do. But unfortunately it has not got the corrected translations, and need to be revised from scratch. Since the list does not accept attachments I have sent a zipped file to your personal e-mail address a few weeks ago including both files produced through po.edit. I assume you have not received them, and can send again if need be. However, it would be the best if latest files from Cartouche can be exctracted since I have done further corrections and additions recently. I volunteer to approve translations into Turkish. Can one be inputter and approving person at the same time? I initiated and led the Turkish team in this translation work for v.3.0.0 from the beginning. Under Turkish there is only an incomplete OPAC file which does not reflect completed recent corrections made on Kartouche, and we have lost Staff file which was complete by 82 per cent altogether. translation for 3.0.1, a note

Hello translators, You'll find a lot of new strings in the staff : we (BibLibre) have translated to english all the strings in UNIMARC plugin templates. They were hardcoded in french for years (2003 ?), now they are in english, so they can be translated easily.
