Good day, dear translators! I would like to introduce "Koha translation tables", which I have been using for some time to translate Koha into Ukrainian and Russian, but they can be useful for translation into other languages. http://koha.tntu.edu.ua:8008/translate/ The idea - to show the Koha template source and mark translated and untranslated strings. Each line is a reference to http://translate.koha-community.org and http://git.koha-community.org. For each template (.tt) is an attempt to guess the appropriate page on the locally installed Koha (web.pl). This can also be useful for those who translate into several close languages (like me) or want to easily watch it interesting translations of other languages (see eg. language columns http://koha.tntu.edu.ua:8008/translate/be/be-BY-i-opac-t-prog-v-3006000.po.…) Contact with Pootle, unfortunately not perfect, I could not make a direct reference to the preferred string for it number in the po-file. Available a link to Pootle-page, where among the 10 string present and desired string (but with the experience, the search will be fast). Tables are calculated (every night) based on the latest version of Koha. po-files taken from http://translate.koha-community.org/*/314. Templates taken from http://download.koha-community.org/koha-latest.tar.gz. On the page are available source codes, maybe someone wants to use it at home. Also, if it will benefit all, is it possible in the future "Koha translation tables" move on http://download.koha-community.org. (?) Good day, I'm a newbie here and I want to help the translation in Filipino. I tried using the online translation months ago but not been productive. I would like to learn and seek advice on how to make Koha available in Filipino. Also is there any available reaserch regarding the localization of Koha? Salamat, Manny

Can not upload simplified Chinese translation po file

Fixes on translation files

Hi translators, today a mail on koha list raised the fact that some translations are somehow broken, in this case was the Arabic one. One of the main source of problems are translations that have printf errors, that mean an unmatched number of placeholders "%s", but listed as translated !! I did a check and fixed all affected strings for all languages and for 3.16/14/12/10 versions. Also did the same for master branch, but perhaps I need to open a bug for it. The fix in this case was mark them as fuzzy, so you may find a few strings to check. This will let the translation proceed without problems, and show a working staff/opac. That's all I can do, the ultimate responsibility for the final result lies with you, dear translators. String freeze

Hi, new Poland-based English-native volunteer here

Hello, I hope I can be useful somehow. I'm a British guy who has been in Poland for quite a while. Localisation has started to interest me but I have almost everything to learn. That's why I thought I would put my shoulder to the wheel here where I can volunteer and glean knowledge as a trade-off. I speak and read Polish but write it rather too weakly to translate into it. But I can and do proofread and edit translations into English. I can also translate from Polish into English, however I understand it's unlikely to be required here. Maybe sometimes a back-translation from Polish to English is good for quality control, and if so I'll gladly help. Thanks for reading, Scott Carter scott_a_carter at hotmail.com
