Sinhala: need to know how plurals work and to define it in the translation platform config

Hi, When releasing the latest Koha in the 21.05.x series, an automated check complains about nplurals not being defined. in si-messages-js.po "Plural-Forms: nplurals=INTEGER; plural=EXPRESSION;\n" note: Plural-Forms seems to be only in this file and not in master, it's in 21.05.x branch. @Sinhala speakers: how does plural work? How many forms are there and what are the rules? For example some languages have sigular and three plurals. With the 1st plural form being used when there are two elements. With the 2nd plural form being used when there are between 3 and 5 elements. With the 3rd plural form being used when there are between 5 and more elements. @Bernardo maybe there is somewhere already the info for .po file for Sinhala? Or maybe we do like the other files and Koha branches where the Plural-Forms head isn't there? But how like plural translations work then? Cheers, -- Victor Grousset/tuxayo

Hi, Arthur is on leave so here is the announcement: String freeze is into effect as of now for the 21.11.x maintenance branch. This means it's the right time to head over to the translation platform: https://translate.koha-community.org/projects/ Reminder: if you add or change a translation in version 21.11, then you must also copy it to 22.05. opac-overdrive-search.tt translation bug

Hi there, I see this line https://github.com/Koha-Community/Koha/blob/beb663836b45a77f45195774133cc9b… does not get translated correctly. The 0 in the ELSE is lost in the translated versions of opac-overdrive-search.tt, for example below: /var OD_password_required = [% IF Koha.Preference('OverDrivePasswordRequired') %]1[% ELSE %][% END %];/ This in turn throws a JavaScript error if a library does not have the /OverDrivePasswordRequired/ syspref enabled./ / I checked the en-NZ-opac-bootstrap.po <https://translate.koha-community.org/export/22.05/en_NZ/en-NZ-opac-bootstra…> and it has no translation for that JS line. Could someone please give me some pointers on how we could stop the 0 being lost? Any help gratefully received! Become language admin

Hello everyone, Source: Now IIUC how it works, you need to tell us your usernames on the platform (create an account if you don't have) so you will be made language admin. A language admin can given other people the role of reviewers Which is needed for the people that will help you translate otherwise they will only be able to make suggestions and only you could accept them. (though that's a valid workflow also) Source: It needs a new dedicated thread on koha-translate as I don't have rights on the translation platform and some questions need clarification before deleting a language. I like to take this responsibility, please set me as an admin for tamil / ta language and we don't need versions for our language. Hi, Thanks Bernardo for adding them, I'll document the procedure so next time anyone of the multiple people with admin rights on the server could do it so we will be able to respond to requests more quickly and not have this load only on you.
