Migration of list servers to a new server

Hello koha lists, It's time for our mail server to retire and be replaced by a new (virtual) one. The migration will be made during the night (european time) of nov 5th. We have a backup MX so no mail should be lost in the process. We also will move the history to the new server. The only possible loss could be in the history, in case a message is sent and distributed to the old server once the migration has started. Translation to Slovak

upgrade po file from koha 3.6.1 to 3.8

Dear all We have just upgraded a customized po from koha 3.6.1 to koha 3.8.5 using *perl translate update eu-EU* we have applied to koha and we have some strange behsviours that we wish to share with you and ask If you know if we have done something wrong. First we wish to know how we know how identify if the po file has been updated for version 3.8.5 (server's koha version) is there any indicator somewhere Some strings translated in the po file are not translated in OPAC web for example... any idea? Koha 3.10 String Freeze is NOW !

I've dedicated the largest part of today to review all patches signed-off and waiting for QA to find the bugfixes changing something in strings, have QAed and pushed them when QA was OK. Koha 3.10 string freeze coming soon

Hello Koha, The Koha 3.10 string freeze will come, as expected and announced, on next monday. After this date, no patches that introduces a string change will be pushed, except if the string is absolutely required to fix a bug. If a patch is submitted that fixes a bug AND contain a string change, I may ask for 2 separate patches, one that fixes the bug and one that changes the string. Javascript escape char

Hie, It appears translating into fr-FR brakes Javascript in calendar.inc. Because (line 31) : currentText: _('Today'), is translated currentText: _('Aujourd'hui'), Additionnal quote brakes the Javascript. What should we do : translate with escape char ("Aujourd\\'hui" in PO) or should translation script handle it ? If same text is used in both Javascript and HTML, escape char can not be used. It's string freeze time again

Frederic as one of your last duties as translation manager can you please update the .po files (or maybe show Ruth how to). Translation makes search highlighting not work

Hi all, Would you have a solution fort his problem? In the search results (xslt enabled), a title is shown with something like: <a href="/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=201400" class="title">Geheimakte Johannes Vermeer </a> In the vernacular (Dutch) language version this shows like: <a href="/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=201400" class="titel">Geheimakte Johannes Vermeer </a> What happened? The translation process translated title into titel in the class attribute of the <a> (in the xslt file). But this has the potential side-effect of disabling css commands referring to class title, but ALSO the javascript commands for search highlighting (it expects class title). So search highlighting only works under English, not Dutch. Is there an easy way to exclude the names of class attributes from translation? Marcel
