Hi Here is 100% translated css_opac/default_intranet_ po's. On our site there is a section devoted Koha: http://www.library.lviv.ua/software/koha/ (po-translation: http://www.library.lviv.ua/software/koha/css_opac_uk_UA/css_opac_uk_UA.po http://www.library.lviv.ua/software/koha/default_intranet_uk_UA/default_int… template folders translation: http://www.library.lviv.ua/software/koha/css_opac_uk_UA/uk_opac-tmpl_css_fo… http://www.library.lviv.ua/software/koha/default_intranet_uk_UA/uk_intranet… ) Also I need the translation of value_builder/unimarc_*.tmpl from French to Ukrainian. But phrases from these *.tmpl files not presented in default_intranet.pot. It is possible somehow to form separate value_builder.pot with source texts in French? Another: in the process of translation I found a few little misprints and other problems from *.tmpl files (for example opac-html\opac-tmpl\css\(fr,uk)\opac-detail.tmpl;correspounding->corresponding). Hello all, i've commited an updated version of ALL translations of Koha that are on CVS for 2.2.6 I will be away for 2 weeks of holidays (from friday afternoon) & come back on august, 28th. If you have a developper access to CVS, then update your translation, i'll see the commit, but you can warn me or here. If you don't have a developper access to CVS, then update your translation & send me the .po file by mail, i'll deal with it when i'll be back. Hello all! About the italian translation: I start working with kartouche, at the URL Paul send me. However because of my dial-up connection I cannot use it for a long time, so I downloaded the .po files from CVS and now I am working offline with poEdit. I hope I will end the work before the 2.2.6 release. A technical question: do I have to write chars with accent as in HTML (eg. è is written as è) into .po files? Is it already available 3.0RC? If so I can test it and, if necessary, translate it. Paolo P

Ukrainian face for KOHA

Hello Here are a few Ukrainian things: 1)PO's: intranet-tmpl/default/uk default_intranet_uk_UA.po opac-tmpl/css/uk css_opac_uk_UA.po (need I send full template folders?) 2)marc_datas unimarc_uk authorities_unimarc.sql structure_def.sql 3)small sql-datas Ukrainian stopwords.sql stopwords.txt Small count of visible string I not found, but I maybe look for it in new Koha. also ?) Question about traslation /value_builder/, plugins..? ?) In unimarc_fr/structure_def.sql is present holding information (9XX) on French, - whether I can somewhere find the names of these fields/subfields on English? During a translation I collected difficult and significant words in a dictionary, some of these words I would like to add in a DifficultTerms-page (but whether I can to do it in a utf-8 encoding?) In our library we use ISIS long time. Previously our ISIS-DB was accessed for OPAC with self-programmed code (OpenISIS+Perl). But now I do not want to invent a wheel. Hope in course of time to bring in the deposit in Koha (what to me all anymore and liked anymore). At this moment we are engaged in the concordance of all of our DB (on the whole near 200.000 records) from Unimarc, in search of bugs, duplets, farther converting in Unimarc-Slim (OpenISIS+Perl) and in Unimarc (Perl:Marc). good morning (or whatever is appropriate for you right now) ;-) one week ago i posted on -dev that i would like to help with a german translation of koha. joshua mailed me (within a short timeframe) the appropriate .po files and i am in contact with stefan gesing, who intended to do this and asked on the user's list. now i learned from dorian that there already is an initiative, that there already were translations for all major releases. hm. i have not seen them anywhere. what is the current status? especially as koha3 is being prepared. (so far i had no time to work on my file, stefan and i agreed to split, so my task would be the opac. i am not yet aware which version joshua sent me, will be able to have a look at everything during the weekend. i would be glad to get in contact with those already active! if it really should make sense translation of documentation would also be useful. so - what is the current status, who is working and how can i participate? have a great day, tobias

and few questions: 1) where to get *.po files: from http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/koha/koha/misc/translator/po/ or from tmpl_process3.pl ? 2) how to set in all *.tmpl files another charset in META, maybe such as in localized *.po files (~ utf-8 for me)? 3) how to start localize UniMarc (to make UkrMarc - ukrainian modification of Unimarc)? test version of ukrainian Koha-OPAC: http://opac.library.lviv.ua

koha 2.2.4 (delayed a little)

(sorry for the french list, i really don't have enough time to write the mail in french too...) Hi, We have found some (minor but annoying) problems with Koha 2.2.4RC1 that has been installed in a french library on monday & tested heavily during 2 days. Some problems are related to translation strings, so .po will have to be updated to be 100% OK I don't think i'll be able to commit what I've fixed today, i'll try for tomorrow. Idea about UNIMARC strings in Koha

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has thought about the need to "translate" the Unimarc- related strings in Koha from French back to English (which really would not be a translation, but rather just looking for an English Unimarc & verifying that the English and French texts actually match). I am wondering about this is because I have noticed that the MARC's used in both mainland China and Taiwan are Unimarc-based, and thus in quite a real sense those French strings do need to be translated. So I wonder whether the Unimarc-related strings in the value builder code should be in English to facilitate traslation in other Unimarc-using locales (on the assumption that English is understood by more people). The downside of "translating" the strings back to English would be that (1) existing translations (e.g., those in the partially translated zh-TW) would be broken and that (2) "translations" would then be needed to be added back to the fr locale. This might not be worth the effort if no English-speaking place uses Unimarc. Perhaps this could be an idea for 3.0 or some later release.
