A timetable proposal for new 3.2.x releases

Hi to all, I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this, but Chris Nighswonger (3.2.x mantainer) will release 3.2.1 at 22 of November. And 3.2.2 is planned at 22 oF Dec., etc. One release evry month around 22 of the month. To keep transaltion in sync I suggest: -- Release Day - 8 day: TM update the site for traslation [http://translate.koha-community.org/] and all .po files. -- Translators works or send file until Release Day - 2 day -- RM of 3.2.x uses te version that is present on the site. Hi, The Koha translation project moved from: http://translate.koha.org to: http://translate.koha-community.org All translators have to proceed a new registration to the new web site. The Koha current translation project targets Koha version 3.2. Pootle, the web application which allow you, translators, to do your job from a web browser or to upload your job to a central place, had been loaded with your language files for Koha 3.2. You will find one Pootle Project named Koha 3.2: http://translate.koha-community.org/projects/32/ For each language, you have at best 3 files to translate: opac, staff and system preferences. As soon as Koha templating system will be switched to Template Toolkit for version 3.4, a new translation project will be added for the Koha upcoming version. Some languages haven't been updated since a long time. Some haven't anything updated for 3.2 branch. They stay in Koha code repository and they work as it is. It's acceptable for OPAC. Nothing is lost but I've decided not to upload to the Koha translation web site languages which are inactive or have a very low activity. If anybody want to reanimate a languid language, he/she just have to drop me an email. I will immediately upload this particular language. Here is the list of inactive (sorry if I'm wrong) languages. My criteria is that a language is considered as inactive if its OPAC isn't half translated. But I keep languages with recent activity (Swedish for example) even if OPAC isn't half translated. Dear Koha Translators, We're about to switch Koha translation web site from: http://translate.koha.org to: http://translate.koha-community.org This is not just a name change, the server itself will also be upgraded. The new translation tool will be hosted on a dedicated server kindly provided and managed by a French institution. Six Pootle projects will be available: three projects per Koha branch, 3.2 and 3.4 (devel), opac, intranet and system preferences. Here is the schedule for the switch: 1. Friday 3rd December at 6am UTC (http://tinyurl.com/2aa6fau) the current server is stopped. 2. Data is synchronized from the current to the new server. 3. Monday 6th at 6am UTC, the new server is available and operational. Even if the server is up and running before this date, please don't try to use it before the announcement of its availability on this list. Hello, I am Olugbenga Adara, a consultant on Koha implementation at Projektlink Konsult Ltd, Ibadan, Nigeria. I am actively involved in several Koha installations here in Nigeria. I have joined this list because we want to give back to the community by translating Koha to Nigerian languages. We want to start with English-Nigeria and Yoruba. I have the following questions 1. Where do we start 2. Can the translation be done offline (Internet connection not reliable) 3. Can we print out the strings? EN files that have french words

Hi to all, I have check files to translate the 3.2 In same 'en' files there are French words. Thank you, Chris. translate.koha.org was down over the weekend (I see that it's up now), but the script mentioned at the bottom of the wiki page for which you sent the link did the trick. Go to directory misc/translator/ 2. run command: perl install-code.pl th-THA This enabled us to go through the installation with confidence.
